Anybody watch The Game Chasers on youtube? Its a pretty interesting show with nerds going from store to store trying to score vintage games. Luckly for them, they collect nintendo stuff, which is pretty common. Imagine if they only chase after Neo games then to realize its freaking tough to find out in the wild

Seasons 1-3 are good stuff.

I have the DVD, got the T-shirt, and paid extra for a random Nintendo game.

I got Urban Champion. It's not my favorite NES game :P. You win some and you lose some.

This season Billy has been really, really fucking annoying with the catch phrases, but thankfully Jay has just saved the show for me.

While we're talking about Youtube retro shows, does anyone watch Game Sack?

I love that show.

This is pretty damn staged. It's the same format as Pawn Stars and Storage Wars. People eat that shit up, so I can see why it's so popular. Same format but with videogames.
I'm sure they are real collectors, and they genuinely find stuff out there.

I've tried to go thrifting, but I cant get past the urine smell in those joints.

It's obvious. They are drawing attention to the hobby.

More people are buying. More demand. Finite Supply.

All the negatives are readily apparent.

Even if the show is fake it is entertaining.

The idea of finding a Little Samson at a flea market is intoxicating.

It's not realistic at all, it's fantasy.

But that's what this entire hobby is about fantasy, escapism.

The show has definitely gone down in quality now that Billy seems think he is the funniest thing ever, which has made him annoying as fuck, but I like it.

Yeah, TruTV doesn't even try. All their shows are fake. Storage Hunters is just product placement. "Ah man, is that a Husqvarna? Those are the best!"

I watched a few episodes as well and honestly they get excited about the stupidest of things. Most of what they buy is complete crap. Even their arcade auction one was stupid. They went in there expecting to pay like $50 for a good arcade cabinet.
