The best the Democrats could in 2016 was Hillary, followed by Biden in 2020, and now Biden again in 2024?

I suppose my point was: who the fuck is actually in charge of the party?

Idiots?

Idiots.

If you think this isn't by design, if you think that they aren't aware of what is happening, then you are taking the bait.

There is no way this isn't in service to some greater scheme. What that endgame is...I have no idea. There are a lot of conspiracy theories but who can say which, if any of them, are true?

But none of this is because of ineptitude. That mindset just makes you chase the carrot of thinking voting will bring about the change you desire. Social and predictive engineering to keep us where they want us. Our federal government won't even figure out healthcare or the rising costs of living, even though they easily could.

None of this is an accident.

You’ll have to offer some, plausible endgame theories if this is all a scheme by the DNC. That’s quite the long con. Purposefully run a losing candidate in 2016, win 2020, run a doddering fool in 2024 to achieve..:what exactly? “All will be revealed soon(tm)” just doesn’t cut it.

Your extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

For now I’ll believe people are that dumb. I mean, you’ve talked to other humans? I know I have and sometimes it’s pretty grim.

It’s a miracle we haven’t destroyed ourselves.

Anyway, bring on WW3, the Eugenics Wars, and maybe by 2063 the Vulcans will save us.

In Biden's case, I don't think this was the plan. The media flipping on a dime from "he's in great shape" to "he's got to go" is just so absurd.

If he was polling well, the charade would have continued.

I'm basing my belief on the fact that if any one of us were in office and had the unilateral authority to fix these problems via executive order and working in tandem with the different branches of government, we'd get it done in weeks.

You think the current batch of politicians, who leave richer than they started, don't have that same capability? That this conflict isn't all bread and circuses to keep us as paralyzed as they want us to think they are?

I think you aren't giving them enough credit but this isn't really a hill worth dying on. Agreeing to disagree on the capabilities of congress is something I'm more than happy to do.

I'm fairly certain they've known about Biden's cognitive failings for some time now. It's not like he doesn't get physicals all the time. They have access to all of that information. Jill is complicit and if you think she's not in lockstep with all of it, I don't know what to tell you. Especially if he's not even acting coherently in his capacity as the commander in chief, which should be fairly obvious to anyone with a working brain. They marched him out there knowing he would fail because to back away at the last second when everything was stacked in his favor would probably have energized Trump even more.

I don’t disagree with you on this point I just think it’s a stretch to assume it’s some “master plan.”

Congress can both not give a fuck and the DNC et al can be idiots.

The masses love the bread and circus.

So I guess the DNC is dumb but the people are dumber? I can live with that take.

But this is not some Mel Gibson Conspiracy Theory. It’s just the landed ruling class holding on to power as they always have in history. There is no conspiracy:

I wouldn't say it's a grand conspiracy. It's more like they have an idea of what they want to do with the economy, alternative energy, immigration, etc. etc. etc. and they're taking what's given to them and anticipating a number of outcomes that they can respond to.

I don't think they knew Biden was going to decline quite so quickly but once they were made aware of his failing health, they were probably doing a lot of late night planning sessions and establishing a number of contingencies all designed to keep moving in the desired direction.

There is an endgame in mind, whatever that may be. What we're seeing now is just them adjusting so that they can keep it on track.

I mean if the endgame is some statist future, sure - that’s what both parties want. Just different flavors.

Not even mad bro, it's like WWE with 80 year olds. Welcome back!

Yeah but one of the Candidates actually is in the WWE Hall of Fame.

I liked Trump when he was on the WWE. That shit was hilarious. Guess I’m one of the idiots. Oh well.

The fact that it's 8 years later and Democrats are still talking about Sanders, the only living human being on earth older than Joe Biden, is comical.
Is anyone serious talking about him? Just because he got mentioned here doesn't mean anything.

In Biden's case, I don't think this was the plan. The media flipping on a dime from "he's in great shape" to "he's got to go" is just so absurd.
What we're piecing together from people with firsthand experience with Biden is that his mind seemed to be doing okay until relatively recently (maybe the past few months to past year or so). The debates really brought it out into the mainstream, and that's why it's coming out now. That's why Clooney and others have flipped.

Motherfucker writes a book called It's Okay To Be Angry About Capitalism
There are serious flaws in capitalism that become more pronounced over time. It's okay to wonder if there's some better system beyond capitalism. What's not okay is thinking that system might be communism. Communism has failed spectacularly every single time it's been tried, most often including mass murder and starvation of the communist country's own citizens numbering in the millions.

Try finding someone who cheers for revolution, in whatever form, who isn't perfectly comfortable with this being part of the process.

This is one of the reasons Chinese are fine with their one party state. Throughout their history every revolution has brought chaos and bloodshed. At this point, better to stay with the Devil you know than the one you don't.

"you've got to crack a few eggs to make an omelette"
Between endless purges, deaths in forced labor camps for political rivals and even normal working class people for imagined slights, and mass starvations both accidental and intentional, Communism has now produced in excess of one hundred million cracked eggs. Where the fuck is the omelette?

After so many attempts and so many eggs, how did Communism fail to produce even a single omelette?
