Way to mindlessly parrot mainstream American political theater discourse. There were no winners in the debate, true, but there was definitely one loser.. Don't want to name that specific demographic in this section of the forums though. Both right and left in this country are two wings on the same fucking bird of prey. Once you recognize the actual puppet masters, this "debate" reveals its true form - pure fucking theater. How entertained were you though, aren't you still?

I was not entertained.

sleepy joe was just running low on his metamucil, you gotta understand.
Sleepy Joe is back! Bring back Uncle Joe the gaffe machine from the Obama era.

I wish he took more than Metamucil before the debate. That and probably Dayquil. Although if a staffer accidentally gave him Nyquil instead of Dayquil ahead of the debate, that would explain a lot.

It would be interesting to find out what world leaders take what medications and supplements to hop them up enough for the job. Could tell us a lot about whether or not there is too much frailty in these people.

I assumed coke too. In a pure form at the correct dosage, could be very safe and effective. People were ahead of their time in the 80's.

I'm seeing people theorize the dnc purposely let Biden go up without his amphetamines or whatever it is they dose him with to make him temporarily seem lucid. The idea being they want to pivot but have no way to actually force him out of being the nominee other than to scare away all the money by humiliating Biden in front of the whole world. This supposedly being why the entire corporate press on both the left and right instantly lock-step jumped on him with the exact same language and terminology, as if reading from prepared material. And this supposedly why they didn't allow a live audience and explaining little wierd moves like putting the camera close on Biden looking slack jawed and vacant at a moment while Trump was speaking and Biden would have thought the camera wasn't on him.

Building from this delightful theory, what I'm noticing personally is that in the aftermath, the only people who still seem to be defending Biden like he's 100% are his wife (of course), Kamala (does even one person care what she thinks? About anything?) and Gavin Newsom. And that of course makes me think Newsom already got the nod prior to the debate to be Biden's replacement. Heaven help you all.

While viewing live, I interpreted the "slack jawed" look as him reacting to or expecting Trump's insanity while he was speaking. He was expressing the disbelief we all feel when Trump speaks. I guess I was alone thinking that.

In previous debates I wasn't a huge fan of Biden smiling while Trump spoke, I suppose given the gravity of the election. Is it possible he was coached to not look like he was laughing at Trump? The smiles were definitely the more popular way to go in hindsight.

You are absolutely the most charitable member of this forum.

I get the distinct impression some of you goobs are still going to vote for Biden.
Clearly, it won't come to that. But if Newsom becomes president, you're all going to wish we had Biden back. If Trump had people on the left threatening to move to Canada, Newsom will actually have people on both sides fleeing to a better life in Mexico.

I'm not convinced myself. I think I was in disbelief while watching the first minutes and trying to understand what I was seeing. Maybe I had the same look of puzzled bewilderment on my face while watching.

Oh, you bet your ass. And that's a sentiment far from limited to the goobs on this forum. It's a binary choice. He may not be able to debate, but he has proven he is able to do the job.

I think it’s more likely DNC et al are just absolute idiots, the party is completely inept, and Biden is the best (only?) candidate they’ve got.

More or less the same with the Republican Party but they don’t actually want Trump this time around.

I just looked up Project 2025.

It has a 920 page mandate.

Why?

Anyways, not going to let a single debate influence me. For the most part I'm a big fan of Biden's policies and will continute to vote for him this November.

Barring something wild happening before November then I’ll probably do the same. I just don’t want four more years of Trump.

We’ll see, I guess. As a Californian I could vote 3rd party and rest assured Biden will still take the state.

Edit: And yeah I’m not sure who the debates are for, at this point? Who is undecided on Biden v Trump? Morons?

Too much freedom, in fact, to keep the populace happy. This is a truth. Americans are miserable it seems. Too much truth.

edit: seriously think how abnormal it is for the top to be televised in this way. Americans are blessed or cursed in this regard. If you think you're cursed I welcome anyone to come here where any commentary on politics is a quick disappearance.
