Even before this signature thing I've seen people on Facebook tell other people oh well if you are so unhappy then don't cash his check or I bet you'll be happy enough to cash his check when you get it.

Like he wrote these checks out of his personal bank account. Ideally this is coming from money you paid in taxes, it's your money that your getting back.

But yeah I also see posts like: what I love most about this pandemic is seeing Republicans and Capitalist suddenly beg for socialism.

Numerous articles say he can't actually sign the checks, his signature will be in the Memo part. I see it as memo...in case you forgot this is the guy that fucked shit up so bad we need to send you out these checks.

I thought it was already confirmed that this money is newly printed and not actually a redistribution.

Did you all get an actual, physical cheque?

Who the fuck still uses cheques?

I had to go to the bank today to cash a rebate check from the gas company. The actual bank doors were closed so I had to go through the drive-through. It is somewhat amazing to me that there is a place you can go and use a pneumatic tube.

They’ve had those for at least 20 years. I can cash a check at my Bank’s ATM these days. When I get the odd check at work I deposit it through my Bank’s app.

I stopped going to the actual physical location probably 6 years ago.

I remember my grandma using them in the late 80s, so they've been around for forever. I've used them before. The only other place I know where pneumatic tubes exist is a local college. Those tubes are decomissioned, but they are still present. The building used to be the post office.

I said ideally,
Most money/profits/redistribution is newly printed money

The official name for it is:
Coronavirus Tax Relief and Economic Impact Payment

Regarding the actual stimulus payments I think there is a case to be made that if you can’t live off the land (because it’s all owned or not suitable to do so) and you also can’t work because the state won’t allow you to go to your job (and the order is enforced by violence) that the state must pay you.

Now how much to pay and where the money is going to come from is a separate issue.

Exactly

I think there is a case to be made that if you can’t live off the land (because it’s all owned or not suitable to do so) or ZONED AND REGULATED SO YOU CANT'T DO SO or it makes doing so hard or near impossible.

True some jurisdictions can’t even have a garden in your front yard.

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/04/15/trump-says-us-has-passed-the-peak-of-coronavirus-outbreak.html

There are more than 632,000 confirmed cases in the U.S., the worst outbreak in the world.

Trump said new cases are “declining” in New York, which has more confirmed cases than any country outside the U.S.

Trump said he’ll be discussing guidelines for reopening commerce on Thursday.

Yeah new cases might have peaked but new testing might have as well. Totally weak number to cite for several reasons. Deaths are still going up.

In Michigian today people went out blocked up / shutdown Lansing and spread the virus.

Natural selection at it's finest. Every screen and piece of paper has been warning them about this for months now. Hopefully they don't infect innocent people. Be especially careful to social distance from dumbasses. Totally thought blocking the road was off limits right? Run em over was what they were saying before when other people were doing it. Some people got run over. THis is worse, this isn't just a street or a lane of highway it's and entire capitol. I'm sure they need to get food and supplies in and out of there. What if there's an emergency and a ambulance cant get through.
