I didn't even know there was a PS1 port until the 2000's in the 90's i mostly stuck to importing for the saturn instead. The PS1 was the best, but that didn't happen until 1998, so I guess it doesn't count.

Very well done video about THE Neo Geo game that turned a lot of people's head to SNK. Random question but do you think that the Atari Jaguar could have handled a competent port of Samurai Shodown? It's a thought that came to my mind after watching the 3DO port. Here's Samurai Shodown:

With the developers they had working on the Jaguar back in the day, it would've been shit for sure. Now, a modern fanmade port today could be better (there's a recent Mortal Kombat fan port), but I just don't have much faith in that hardware that it could pull off a respectable port. The Jaguar hardware is pretty shitty in my humble opinion.Very well done video about THE Neo Geo game that turned a lot of people's head to SNK. Great video! One of the few YouTube channels I actively watch. It’s nice seeing all these pc88 and 98 games that I’ve never had a chance to play. Hope there are some more x68000 videos planned in the futureHere's Samurai Shodown. Includes a special guest: Our old friend, @Deuce.

Really good video, I am surprised looking at your channel that the PC88 stuff has more views than the Neo Geo stuff. For westerners I would think that the Neo has had a larger impact and is more well known. Here's Samurai Shodown. Includes a special guest: Our old friend, @Deuce.

Thanks! Originally that was our thinking, but it slowly caught on, and people realized it was really unique content in the retrogaming sphere. Now most of the subscribers are subscribed for that, not the Neo Geo content, since that's most of what gets posted now.Really good video, I am surprised looking at your channel that the PC88 stuff has more views than the Neo Geo stuff. Every NGH number gets an episode. The one-time exception was completely unknown numbers, which won't happen again.I hope Fatal Fury 2 and Special are a combo episode. Seems wasteful to split them.
Can't wait for the MOTW episode in 2074Every NGH number gets an episode. The one-time exception was completely unknown numbers, which won't happen again.
One of my faves. Not many good platformer arcade games *period* (not just neo geo).Great vid on Top Hunter.
I must admit Ive only played it once or twice, I'll need to go back through it again. or I should say the first time.
I was bored with how it dragged on at first, but it really does give you lots of stuff to play with. (Lookup the moves first, and try to use them strategically on the bosses, while holding onto the power ups.)I need to give this game another chance. After watching your video, I may pop the disc in and give it another shot.
Probably one of the more unique games on the Neo Geo, due to the two-plane mechanic. That mechanic is something i feel still has a lot of potential, as seen in games like Virtual Boy Wario Land. Here's Top Hunter.

You greatly underestimate the amount of stuff there is to talk about. There are different ports, for one thing!I hope Fatal Fury 2 and Special are a combo episode. Seems wasteful to split them.

All the more reason to go back and play it and make a video! Fatal Fury 2 is overlooked. It's just that FF2 was made irrelevant by Special and Special for the SNES was the first time I played any version of the games.
