ah ok!

MVS market too getting expensive - I guess people try to escape those crazy AES prices or resellers who found a new niche for themselves.

Master of Syougi - sold for $2,200 at nin-nin game little over a year ago. Was listed for $3,000 in neostore previously. It's now been sold, I assume for the full price of $3,000. NGK has it at $2,000-3,000. That's where the $2,500 price previously came from. I didn't observe any sales on here, shmups, AO, KLOV or any of the online gamestores that sell AES since the last update, BUT, I assume like most high-end AES it is going up, so I added a (+) symbol to indicate it could be more than that.

one sold recently on YHJ for 680k yen buuut it was only one bid - so either a greedy reseller or someone who doesn't care about money...

3000$ seems fairer though.

Does the MVS Guide reflect full kit prices or is it loose carts only?

If you're selling full kits to me, the price guide reflects full kits. Otherwise, loose carts.

Any plans on a Neo CD guide? I know it's probably a lot of extra work on top of what you're already doing, but I thought I would ask.

That would be cool. There is always focus on AES/MVS, but there might have been some shifts in the CD prices over the years. The Neo-Geo Kult CD guide hasn't been updated in years. For instance, the price for Breakers has appeared to rise quite a bit over the years (at least looking on ebay activity). Eventually, a hardware guide would also be great.

The work that has been put into the current guides is very appreciated though (and helpful).

Was taking a look at the Aes guide and one game that really sticks out at me is Burning Fight Aes Jp and Us. This game was just sold here for $150 shipped and on eBay seems like the price is going down as well. I remember seeing a U.S version buy it now for $160 and didn't sell for a week.

Not at home yet, but even a quick ebay search says the price remains pretty on point. Last sold:

Last 3 US: 235, 202, 275 - avg: $237
Last 4 JP: 201, 300, 260, 150 (NG) - avg: $227

Other than the $150 one here, there is only one ebay sale under $200. That one was $187 ($199 shipped), sold at auction with 9 bids. It was a JP cart, ratty US artwork, and no manual. I don't use incomplete or mish-mashed items like that when putting sale data together, but if that is a JP cart, US art, and no manual is selling $199 shipped, then the market for that game is definitely not in the $150 range. $150 is a great forum price for sure, but it's not indicative of actual market.

Ok, how about this one Mike. http://www.ebay.com/itm/262848634653

I've also seen them go for cheap on Yaj.

CAN'T EDIT OP - updated guide below:

Greetings,

In efforts to create mass drama, hysteria, and an outlet for all your butt-hurt needs - below is a guide for AES and MVS i've been keeping for a few years.

*This is a fan guide only
*It is NOT a be-all-end-all price guide
*It is not endorsed by neo-geo.com

PRICE GUIDES (This is my own guide; taking into account ebay sales, forum sales, and existing guides from Xian Xi and Neo-Geo Kult; it is by no means a be-all-end-all, these are meant as observed sales to provide a baseline for your own purchases)

AES PRICE GUIDE
Spoiler:
-This is not an authority, but rather a guide
-A guide should be used to provide a general price baseline
-Condition / Completeness and number of items on the current market may tilt numbers up or down
-Prices are based on an average of sales
-Games w/o an accurate baseline are listed currently as NA
-Not all box and print variants are accounted for -Buy wisely
-Sales/Listings were observed on Neo Geo, Shmups and to lesser extent - KLOV/Arcade-Otaku Forums as well as ebay US and UK. Ebay France and Yahoo JP are also used but only as last resort as prices and sales seem to be quite a bit higher than US sales and this is intended as a North American buyer's guide.

Liquid Snake Price Guide
Spoiler:
This guide is intended for buyers who must have the game bought/paid for/shipped the moment the potential buyer first discovers this game is "a thing", and then decides, it is "a thing they must have".

Guide created / updated:
7.13.16
9.23.16
5.5.17

Guide:
Add 20-50% to all prices above; or 10-30% and he'll babysit your kids as partial payment

Is there a way for a mod to put this post on top? The numbers have changed significantly, so since Mike can't edit the post to keep it current it would be helpful to other users to see the most up to date items first.

Pretty sure that those aren't conversions. More like straight up bootlegs.

Also...

Stakes Winner 2 (JP) - $450
I don't collect homecarts anymore but that came as a surprise. Those $450 are probably for a copy of SW2 with a badly faded spine.

I had no idea this was last updated in May, just had it pointed out to me as I thought it just hadn't been touched since September. MVS is starting to get rough.

Dang! I should of held onto my copy of Master of Syougi which had a sun-faded spine. I sold it around 15 years ago for about a tenth of that price.

That’s obvious. I didn’t say it was proof of anything (note the “FYI”), yet it’s a possible reference to bear in mind. As a matter of fact completed eBay auctions have been used as a reference on this same thread.

I don't care that I sold mine for $700. I care that I sold it to...
Spoiler:
NickRB

BTW, that seller is legit, seen his stuff and never noticed shilling or canceling on his stuff. I'd reckon a legit sale and will use it for next update. At minimum it appears to have had at least 5 people willing to pay at least 2,000 GBP.

How much should one add for Shock Boxes and inserts? Example, If AOF 2 MVS is going for $20.00, what should it sell for with Shock Box and insert?

Thank you,
