Do you want to see pictures of games?

I will see about getting setup pictures some time later.

I'll probably switch out the display with either a 1440 or a 4k

How is the 4k on your eon

It is okay...I mainly play at 1080p though as I like to crank up all the settings and add in PhysX.

2 years ago I bought from xoticpc a Sager computer, the Clevo P170SM. Clevo is basically a DIY laptop. You pick every single part, it just starts with the laptop frame and the motherboard, everything on it everywhere is socketed, no permanent soldered in parts which is why I got it.

It runs an i7-4710MQ @2.5ghz but Turbos in games to 3.0
16GB of RAM (can go to 32)
Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M w/8GB of RAM (or off that the intel HD4600)
1TB HDD (has raid config for up to 3-4 if you have an optical (I do, bluray player/dvd burner)
17" screen (1920x1080)

I had a budget I had to stay within, I can put a quicker CPU in there but at the time it would have been $800 more, went with 1/2 the RAM, and just the 1 HDD. I'll upgrade it over time. Anything I've thrown at it (newest being DOOM) I could max out the settings easily enough.

Pretty nice PC you have there. That should keep you going for another 8-10 years as it stands right now.

About to upgrade to a Ryzen based unit. Motherboards are finally in stock after a big shortage. Currently running a Sandy Bridge E i7. Will post more once I have the parts in the mail.

This might be my Next Pc Casem very Nice. We have similar specs, I'm using a 980ti though. Don't see any need for upgrading to a 1080ti unless I upgrade my monitor.

This is the real reason I am getting the 1080 TI. Want to game at 4K 60fps if possible. Since my motherboard has SLI, I will get another 108 TI years later. Just waiting for ASUS to release their STRIX version.

Wow, that's pretty hardcore. Yea, Strix does a great job with Nvidia Cards. Just make sure your PSU can back it up. Running 2 1080ti's in SLI is sure to make that needle on your electric meter spin, lol.

Came home last night and my wife had two ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080's and a new 850 PSU from EVGA for me to install on my rig. She told me that playing The Witcher 3 at 35 FPS was unacceptable.

Not enough Voodoo 2 SLI in this thread.

I want a 3D Diamond Monster 2 SLI setup so bad. I actually picked up an old ASUS board with RAM, and CPU the other day. I think it's running a 1ghz Tulatin, but I can't tell for sure. The guy accepted a $30.00 buy it now offer.

I'm going to grab the case at micro center this weekend, and install this stuff and my SoundBlaster Live!.

Should be a fun little project for Win9x and late DOS gaming. Gotta get a CD-Rom drive, PSU, and a few other things first though.

I have two of those sitting in a box somewhere in storage...fucking things, became bricks overnight.

Same thing basically happened to me. I wanted to build a Win95 gaming rig so I bought them like a decade ago. Life happened, forgot about them and now I don't know where they are.
