Valheim- now on gamepass (Survival Games Thread)

Anyone a fan of the survival genre? (Ark, Conan, Subnautica, Grounded, Minecraft, etc)

I am a big fan of the genre itself. My friend and I have really been enjoying Valheim. I’ve held off on getting it on Steam knowing I’d be playing it on the Xbox with my friend.

So far a nice balance between exploration, crafting, combat, dungeons, and bosses. I’m impressed how much I’m enjoying playing a game with a procedurally generated worked (like Minecraft) again after having played fixed map games like Ark and Conan for so long.

If you haven't already, The Forest is worth a play.

I've been playing Minecraft with my brother and daughter. We're planning to move into Valheim next.

Have not played The Forest, but saw Sons of the Forest just came out. Definitely interested in it.

The building in Valheim is really good. I thought Conan also has good cosmetic building options but it was too grindy and Valheim outclasses it in simplicity and charm.

Pro-tip: The world in Valheim is flat. You can sail off the edge.
