I’m tempted by the Hamilton field watches. I’ve never had an automatic but I really like the looks of some of the cheap soviet era field watches and those are way closer to my price range. I’m sure they suck at keeping time but eh.

I can assure you, the soviet Vostok's and Raketa's keep good time. I mostly have mechanical variants and not automatics. I wouldn't mind one of Vostok diver automatics. Any of the modern variants are also quite good.

absolutely. I haven't been bold enough to test the waterproofing for a 30+ year old watch. I feel pretty safe about the back case, but I worry about the crown.
My EDC this quarantine as been a mechanical Vostok of the same range. I swapped out the band for a nice Eulit perlon strap.

I think Raketa have bad craftsmanship. It's not a great watch. I have one. It's shit.

You don't see too many Edifice watch owners. Lots of Japanese brand love in that collection. Good stuffs.

I like watches from all over the world. The Russian stuff is just fun.
But far as money/value, Japanese watches are tough to beat.
When I wanted a chronograph it came down to the Seiko & the Casio.
I ended up with both within the same year.

I pity the fool!

Got the Chun Li watch a week or so ago. Looks nice and the band is much nicer than the gief one.

Old Seiko my gal me for my birthday.
Needs a better strap and a service. Just a quick guess I'm thinking early 70s.
She's pretty awesome.

only 3 watches so far..

the first is a Tissot that I got for the wedding from my parents-in-law. The second one a Tag Heuer because I liked it. Same goes for the Longine Hydroconquest.

I got the new Pac-Man X Timex watch that I'm loving. Not really crazy expensive but I'm enjoying it.

I’ve had my eye on those 1963 Chinese Air Force Seagull replicas for awhile now, and picked one up during the Aliexpress 11.11 sale this year. It finally came in a couple days ago. Pretty sharp looking watch IMO.
