I'll have one one day but it's pretty pointless with a 36mm steel datejust that is very close in looks, even a similar bracelet and clasp

I keep trying to bring yellow gold watches back. No one is listening to me.

I want to start a parody thread called 'learns' but I don't think anyone will link the two

The Casio World Time's water resistance has officially been tested in the ocean. It just beeped on the hour, so save for some sand between the crystal and bezel, she's no worse for the wear. I opened it up a while back to remove some of the extraneous text too.

It’s got a lot more weight to the gold watch, it’s a dress watch and it’s 18k lot softer then the stainless steel .

the Submariners are just crazy at this point....
Still the best value ! Saw a 2007 date complete set for $11k cad , the price are slowly coming down but they are still sell for more then what you paid before . Can’t really loose on a sub

Also on the president it’s only good if you wear it for office work or playing golf not really a daily watch as they can get scratches and scrape up easily due the 18k gold. The older model are the same price as the newer subs

I tend to gravitate towards older Subs and/or S-D's (1680, 1665). Nice vintage vibe, not afraid to bang on them... even the more expensive DRSDs or single red subs.

Daytonas are more my weakness, regardless of metal. Can always go with white gold for teh sleeper "FU money" appeal. It goes without saying, but the platinum wrist presence is awesome, and substantially more than Y or WG. But similar to the subs, give me an understated vintage 6263 or better yet a 6238 or 6234 Predaytona any day over a modern one.
