Oneechanbara Z2: Chaos - Beat the game this weekend. The series seems to be getting better as it goes, though it is still very much a budget title. Where the old games tried to get gameplay by having large or long maps with far too much empty space, the games have started to have tighter quarters since Z, so you get a lot more action in each map.

Guilty Gear Xrd - My MadCatz TE2 came in and what a world of difference this is making. The broken arrow dpad of a playstation is causing way too much dead space in the moves I'm trying to get off. Especailly playing a fast character like Chipp, that cannot stand, man.

3DS

Playing around with the new region breaking method, so played this on my EU 3DS...

@fenikso: Good luck on Levels 3/4 of Castlevania Adventure, you'll need it--that game is brutal. First Castlevania I ever owned though, so, I'll always have a soft spot for it.

*******

Genesis
-Mortal Kombat [I can still remember playing this, at my cousin's house, when it first came out, for hours and hours straight in a marathon session, with him and my younger brother. At one point, I recall that my cousin got pissed because my sibling had something like a 30-win streak with Sonya Blade, so, he went downstairs and flipped the circuit breaker to cut the power to the house and erase the record (why he didn't just hit the reset or power buttons instead is beyond me--he was a lot bigger and older than either of us, and had a black belt in Tae Kwan Do to boot, so it's not like we'd have been able to stop him)].

-Valis (Played up until the Reiko boss fight, but she kept slaughtering me, so, I gave up).

NES
- Batman (played up to the third boss, couldn't remember what his pattern was or where the safe spots were, so I said the hell with it and turned it off--still one of the better Batman games IMO though).

Windows
- 3D Pinball Space Cadet [This was one of the "built-in" games that came with my copy of the Windows NT OS--I hadn't fired it up in years (forgot it was even installed), but it's a pretty good pinball table].

I've been on a real GB kick here lately. I picked Castlevania Adventure up at a fleamarket six or seven years ago and I'm only now getting around to playing it. The jumping is brutal, so I can only imagine what the later levels are like.

PS3

Drakengard 3-Finished everything except for the last Accord Request, which popped after I beat the game. I have no reason to bother with it. In summation: GREAT story, compelling narrative, wonderfully weird characters, killer voice acting and soundtrack and utterly addictive for these reasons. The gameplay is wholly average and that last mission of Branch D is S-E basically sticking their middle fingers in your face. It is some real bullshit for multiple reasons. But god, what a beautiful sequence to watch on Youtube after you finish it (because you'll be too focused on beating the stage to absorb the striking visuals.)

Neir-Just started this one up again and I think I'm going to wait a little bit before I get into it hardcore. I need a break from the weirdness of Yoko Taro's game direction (as normally gripping as it is).

PS2

Shadow Hearts-Took a while, but getting back to this one.

PS3

Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn-On a bit of a Gundam mini kick and there's a lot I haven't unlocked yet. Revisiting this has reminded me of what a great job Koei-Tecmo did with the license this time around.

PC

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

Wii U

Hyrule Warriors-Adventure Mode is so much fun.

I'm leaning toward buying it tomorrow, along with Splice, Ironclad Tactics, and possibly Citizens of Earth on PSN with the discount code.

Impressions so far?

Also, anyone playing Citizens of Earth? Is the encounter rate as insane as it sounds?

Anyway, for me right now -

I've literally only been playing Talos Principle this entire week. It's really really good. A puzzle game with similar themes as blade runner? Yes please.
