Going through the original Mobile Suit Gundam (one of my upcoming projects) again. The Right Stuf BD release.

Also watching Victory Gundam. Again, Right Stuf BD release.

I recently binged Attack on Titan. It would have been around the time that the PS4 game came out.

Awesome game. Terrible anime.

No I won't explain why. I have things to do.

Started watching Re:Zero recently, it's okay but a bit too slow for me at points.

Well, I learned today that the Drifters anime started last month, so that's what I'll be watching tonight

I was on the Kickstarter for that Escaflowne set as well. It's turned into a drama storm over shipping and kitsch miscues, which is a shame because the discs are excellent and they really did a great job with the remaster and new dub.

After finishing Escaflowne, I watched both parts of Den-noh Coil which came out a long time back but just hit blu in the US. Great series, kind of like seeing Ghibli do Ghost in the Shell with kids.

A few of them that I had watched over the past month:

ReLife: Excellent series, its a shame it only got 12 episodes. Had it gotten a proper 24 episode run it would of really been able to really shine. It was still really good, and the story wasnt rushed at all. Hopefully we get a 2nd season so you can find out what happens next.

Bakuman: This was a decent "light hearted" anime, despite its cliche Japanese plot. It was actually pretty interesting and kept me entertained through all 3 seasons.

Erased: Very solid anime, reminds me of "The Butterfly Effect"; very well executed.

Salaryman Kintaro : This is a hidden gem, its far from a great story but very entertaining.

Drifters: Still watching this one, so far so good though. I'm afraid its going to get boring halfway through but I'll wait and see.

I bought a bunch of new shows from RightStuf because of their holiday sale. So I've been working my way through the original Gundam. It's been interesting seeing were most of the mecha tropes started. Also watched Deadman Wonderland which was a hot garbage. And I finished Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine which was a good but not great by Lupin standards. It made me want to re-watch all of the movies again.

I've been watching The Laughing Salesman on Crunchyroll. It's a new series currently being simulcasted, which I think is a remake of an anime from the 90s. It's almost like morality tales each episode, but there doesn't seem to be much of a message or moral to most of them, except not to be unhappy. Someone is unhappy with something, the laughing salesman comes and says he will help them, and then he fucks their life up. I'm really enjoying it.

I watched Re:Zero not too long ago.

Really enjoyed it. Reminds of the way anime used to be: risk-taking, unique storytelling and punctuated by some occasional grizzly violence. Starts off as a pretty standard "loser finds his way in to fantasy RPG world" show but quickly takes a weird turn. The show's premise then proceeds to continuously beat him down until he's a broken shell of a human being.

I realised yesterday that Trigun is now on Netflix UK. One of my favourite anime series, and one I haven't watched for probably 10 years, so I am watching through that again.

Preordered that and Outlaw star the second I saw they were coming out, We Have Come To Terms! Still not a big fan of the second season but giant robot animes don't get any better than those first 13 episodes

Been watching Berserk with my dad, he walked in when I was watching the second movie and has been along for the ride since, I'm thinking of starting to collect the manga, mainly because I hear the art is phenomenal and plus they still haven't animated the first arc other than the first episode from the 97 show, a choice I found somewhat bizarre since that arc clearly happened in the latest anime (based on Guts having the Behelit he took from the count) they just didn't animate it for whatever reason, I'm also watching Rage of Bahamut Virgin Soul which is just as fun as the first season while shaking up the dynamics of the cast, with one of the previous seasons main antagonists being more of an antihero and one of its protagonists working with the villains, Favaro still hasn't shown up but it's a lot of fun so far, My Hero Academia is great, my dad just hates all the shonen tropes when he watches it with me

If you haven't, check out the manga too, its one of those 90's adaptations that barely scratched the surface of what goes down in the manga, definitely one of my favorites, also Blood Blockade Battlefront which was also loosely adapted into an anime is from the same creator

Just watching Berserk, Atom: The Beginning, and My Hero Academia this season.

How is Atom? I love me some Astro Boy but wasn't crazy about the premise of the show being that it focuses on Dr. Tenma

I used to watch Dirty Pair Flash on Showtime Beyond around 2002, 2003. I liked it back then I was a teenager and anime is cool when you're a teenager.

I'm watching it now and boy do I feel embarrassed. I liked the volleyball episode. But every other shot of the girls is like softcore porn, even with nips poking through shirts. Weird as hell that they're specified to be 17 years old.

I, I don't think I can do anime anymore, guys.

I've been mostly watching Dragon Ball Super and My Hero Academia. I still need to catch up on the earlier arcs of Super. I lost interest in the first few episodes and then jumped back in around the Future Trunks/Goku Black/Zamasu arc. Still waiting for a JoJo Part 5 adaptation to be announced. I've been dabbling in a few other shows, but not much seems to really jump out at me anymore.

Dragonball Super is finally on Crunchyroll here in the UK, so I've been watching it too. I'm only about 13 episodes in so far. It's a bit strange that they decided to redo the latest films. I thought the last two movies were great fun, but I'm not sure I really need to see them stretched out to 20 episodes each!
