We're now even better frwends.

*slaps five*

Screamo, MUSHA, and Robotech shared enthusiasm is a pretty solid base, I’d say. ;^)

CoC toured again right before covid. They still got it!

Only selecting actual bands and not "Artists" (otherwise Stevie Wonder would be the easy, hands on favorite)

No particular order

2. The Who
3 Galactic Cowboys
4. The Tragically Hip
5. Iron Maiden
6. Judas Priest
7. Dio
8. The Rods

Anthony Kiedis is a less thuggish version of Fred Durst - their ability to write meaningful lyrics is about on par with one another.

Flea's greatest accomplishment was getting on Back to the Future Part II, which is one of the greatest films of all time. He was also in III, and his cameo at the end was amazing, as his truck has henches from each era. But otherwise, RHCP is for shitheads who don't like music.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers are awesome and I'm seriously amazed than Anthony Kiedis can keep all of the lyrics to some of their songs straight in his head, the raps in particular, especially given the volume of their catalog--anyone ever see them live?--I have to imagine he has to resort to improvising and freestyling some of that shit if he isn't lypsynching.

My Mother could never get the word order correct when she'd say the band's name for some reason and it'd come out Red Chilli Hot Peppers. She must have been hungry.

You and I have very dissimilar views on just about everything but it takes all kinds right.

That said... 100% agree about RHCP.

Fun fact about HornheaDD: I was in a band with a guy who used to be in a band with Chad Smith. A couple years ago, Smith showed up at one of his gigs. (I wasn't in the band then) He sat in on drums in a couple of their songs.

Nice guy, great drummer. Shit band.

Shiner fucking rules. Saw them in ‘96 w/ Tanner, and became a fan instantly.

‘Pills’ is one of my favorites tunes to play along with.

Where you/how you been, man?

Fuck yes! The new album is killer/heavy and I love it! Easily one of my top 3 albums of 2020.

I moved back in lurking mode (with the occasional post) when I got a promotion a few years ago, so I haven't been able to Neo my Geo as much. Been good though! Hope you've been well!

Congrats on the promotion!

New Hum and new Shiner music in the 2020s, seemingly outta nowhere-a reason to smile, for sure. Glad to hear things are good; me and mines are as well. ^_^

Ahh shit, I just realized that I just left Blue Oyster Cult off my list.

That is like leaving Joe DiMaggio off a list of greatest Yankees of all time.

As far as I'm concerned, Blue Oyster Cult might the greatest band of all time.

In no particular order, and off the top of my head. So not 100% accurate.

1. Alice n Chains
2. MGMT
3. The Wailers (whether with Bob or Bunny)
4. Tool
5. NOFX
6. Dave Matthews Band
7. The White Stripes
8. Pink Floyd
9. Prince and the Revolution
10. Type O Negative

Other good bands:
Nirvana
Pearl Jam
Sigur Ros
Tom Petty
Jimi Hendrix Experience
Velvet Underground
Sublime
The Strokes
Parliament/Funkadelic
Operation Ivy
D'Angelo and Vanguard

*** Had the title been. "Best artists of all time" this would have changed. I only picked bands that play actual instruments, and are always the same. Some artists like Trent Reznor have a new band for every album, so I wouldn't pick NIN as a favorite band. Same for lots of rap and hip hop artists such a Wu Tang. Then you have the one man bands, like QTip or Bob Dylan.

Frank Zappa

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

Pixies

Bonus: Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet
