Three years ago I answered an ad in the Trading Post (in Australia) selling a Neo Geo Aes console with 43 games for $1800 Aus (equivalent to $1200 US at that time). I rang the guy straight away and left work in a hurry to check everything out...as I walked into his house I was shocked to see Ninja Masters , Metal Slug 2 , Neo Turfmasters , Stakes Winner , Last Blade 1 & 2 , the Real Bout series , most of the KOF and other titles . All were amazingly English versions except RB2 . I quizzed him about the origins of the collection (after I had paid) and he was suitably vague... they were possibly obtained from a local 2nd hand shop and most were presumably originally purchased from Game Infinity in Chinatown in Sydney which was one of the few stores in the world to stock late release Neo carts (including Euro Kizuna Encounter).

Other finds include 3 Magic Drives for the Megadrive (disc back up machines) for $10 each (1 boxed) , a Super UFO disc machine for the Snes complete for $15 , MegaMan In Wily Wars (Pal Megadrive version) mint complete for $5 , Terranigma for the Pal Snes mint complete for $10, Panzer Dragoon Saga complete for Pal Saturn $12 , PC Engine with 25 Hu cards for $50 , Pal Snatcher Mega CD for $8 , Divine Sealing for JP Megadrive complete for $10 , Eliminate Down JP Megadrive complete for $10 , 2 top loading Nes consoles for $12 & $15 each ,a brand new Pal Mega CD2 for $10 , a boxed Saturn CD card for $15 and lots of of other retro stuff .

And have you sold the neo games since buying them ? You could make like thousands USD of profit...

The most recent would have to be a complete Raiden Project (US PS1) for $15 at GameStop. I had looked for that game for years in the wild.

Around January/February of last year, I bought a complete/near mint Burning Rangers (US Saturn) for $11 shipped here.

I would say one of the greatest purchases ever was a sealed Gitaroo-Man at Movie Starz Video for $16 in August of '04.

I don't sell any of my games, so I'm not interested in making a quick buck.

Lol, I am destined to win. I spent years as a PC Engine collector, buying and selling, etc. I eventually got out of it, and here's where the story comes in. I had a pretty extensive collection, including a bootleg PCE SCD game called "Sailor Moon X", which was pretty much just a text and picture based Sailor Moon porn adventure. It's the dullest "game" in existence, but hyper rare - no one had ever sold one on the "turbo-list", which was the old mailing list we all belonged to.

Anyway, to make a long story short, I paid $45 to a friend who found it for me in Akihabara on his semester abroad, and sold it for $500 on the turbo-list. That is not a typo. I was 19 at the time and I had never seen so much money in my whole life! I bought a guitar and a 4-track ^_^

Other excellent purchases - Super Dodge Ball US MVS with original control insert for $25 (last year) / Dracula X ('nother PCE story) from Minneapolis' long-gone Games-to-Go, for $60 from Paul, the big dude that used to own for PCE and Neo-related sales...

Ah, the good old days!

Edited to say: I clearly do not win compared, for instance, to Shawn's $12,000 profit story ^_^

Viewpoint AES $10.00

Not bad if the game is complete and in good condition, there are some seller that are really unaware of the market !!!

The Viewpoint below..I got it at the Flea Market.. All AES games.$10.00 each(all complete)
Super Spy
Art of Fighting
Top Player's Golf
Samurai Shodown
World Heroes
Baseball Stars Pro
Magician lord.

And a Mint AES System with two mint Neo Sticks/all hook ups and a boxed memory card.

All the above for $100.00.
I say $10.00 for the Viewpoint though it's actually lower because I had bought all the games from the lady vendor for $10.00 each(I swooped them off the table) then she said do you want the system too..I didn't see it in the bag near by.
So I offered her $100.00 for everything,she took it and I left......fast..

Damn where did you score that KOF02 aaron?

Arcade shock... I worked out a deal with Vinh in his sale. The e mail said that he would refund you the difference on similar items purchased in the last 30 days... I bought 3 kits in the last 30 days, hahaha. You can figure it out from there.

As soon as I get it, it's gonna be for sale for a very reasonable price. PM me if you're interested. ;)
