Picked this one out of the dollar bin many years ago on a whim, and I ended up loving it. So later on, I grabbed this much cleaner copy.

Shocked by how great Hard to Swallow Vanilla Ice album is. I mean it's generic and pretty dumb, very Limp Bizkit like which is not a good thing, though for what it's worth I find LB music endearing these days.

But it's miles better than 90% of other nu metal offerings of the time. Production is brilliant (Ross Robinson was a genius back then), the grooves are tight, riffs on point. It's just great. Serious. As ambivalent as I always have been about Vanilla Ice as a performing artist.

Picked up the Substance reissue recently. This is great, really well done. Im not one for coloured vinyl but the red/blue limited edition is the one you want if you decide to go for it. Apparently the black standard release has some pressing issues.
