I’d ignored this 2018 remix box set based on mixed reviews from OG fan bois but honestly I’ve never heard the white album sound better. The demo’s it comes with are fantastic and the pressing is immaculate.

It absolutely is an amazing version. You can still find it around my area at some Walmarts for $49. Incredible deal.

Wow, 1st press UK, nice. I have a reissue from around 5-6 years ago. Sounds pretty good, but probably not as good as the 1st press.

There’s no reason why it couldn’t. It’s not like they’re still using the same stampers.

Got this great reissue that released today. Perfect release. Dead quite vinyl, beautiful jacket. Really impressed with this release.View attachment 59815

I've got the mono release headed my way from Plaid Room. I didn't think I needed the extra disc of material - how is it? Can't wait to give it a listen when it gets here early next week.

I listened to it once but I am not familiar enough with the album to make a fair judgment. It does sound great though.

Mastering is a bit low on this one; a slight annoyance for me (upping the gain pot on my Ecler, hitting the boost +48 button on the Mackie 12), possible deal breaker for folks running an amp only.

I hate that this sounds crummy without pro-dj gear sweetening-a lot of civilians are gonna be pissed &/or disappointed.

No ddl code, not available on any other format…unless you taped it off of MTV back when this episode of 120 Minutes aired.

While not the classic line up, these versions are *smoking*.

I’ve only ever had the cassette-from my 8th birthday, the year it originally released.

New songs are a nice surprise.

Still getting used to the modified running order… pleased with the press and the gfx.

Nice to finally have this on vinyl. I couldn’t pay the big prices for a first pressing of this which is essentially a CD generation recording. I’m good with reissues for 90’s + releases.

If I ever get back into scratching I’m going to use nothing but dozens of copies of this record.

This one is like VG+, wax is about the same. $18 in my home town shop.

Speaking of scratching:

Doubles of this on the strenth of two of the record’s strongest tracks. I’ll get some good juggles in on AMB.

1) wish it had the remix of the remix of Money Folder; so far, only available on the sampler CD that came w/ Grand Slam Magazine issue 2

2) missed opportunity for Super Villain Theme to be an endless last groove, or an extended version of it at all to make wax
