This plate was about $3-4 a person.
Choice sirloin strip steaks were $ 3.77 a pound, bought 3 for $7.00.
Asperagus was $1.49 a pound, paid about $3. Green onions and zucchini were pulled from the garden.

Damn good meal for cheap.

Ooof, that looks delicious! The price is very good. The meat is very cheap. Over here in Germany where I live you have to pay way more. 1Kg/2.2pounds of that meat is like 35Euros/41Dollars at least. Beef filet is 47Euros/55Dollars per Kg/2.2pounds. Yes you heard that right. Beef is very expensive.

Wow, that is pricey for beef.
Here in California beef is fairly inexpensive.
Every week the local markets have a good cut of beef for cheap.

Usually, USDA Choice New York steak, rib eye, porter house/T-bone, Yri-Tip, etc. for $5-6 a pound ($14-15 kilo).

Even USDA prime or grass fed organic beef can be had for about half the price you pay in Germany.

Here is another meal that turned out to be $4-5 a plate.

Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and Broccolini with almonds.

Pork on the other hand can be cheap like loin for 9Euros per Kg. But normally even this is like 16Euros/Kg. Last year I tried the first time in my life beef fillet. It was awesome.

Yummy, good combination. But where is the salad? I can't eat a dish without some salad.

This friday I will invite me to my mom with a bag full of stuff and then we will make something with this secret weapon.

Damn, that looks good! Nice glaze on the meatloaf. I haven’t had it in years and saw a recipe recently that made me want to make it. This is a sign...

We modified the recipe...added eggplant, carrots, and chick peas.

Cast Iron ftw!

I'm usually not a foodie/"here a pic of what I had for dinner guy BUT it is the holidays & the 20th anniversary for allot of us OG's here.

Christmas eve day was started with some noice Pacific organic maple & cinamon hot oatmeal w/ fruits.

Dinner was tight with the family splitting a top shelf meat lovers pizze from one of out favorite haunts with a home made salad.

Today was a sick brunch, main coarse being a frech toast bake made from scratch with creamcheese & blue berries inside of it . With a scrambled egg mix (mostly whites & 1 whole egg), topped with sliced avacado. A side of perfectly done sausages. Whole milk, OJ & fresh coffee. All items/ingedients were top shelf & fresh so that shit came out bangin.

Dinner with the fam is about to be:

- Prime Rib w/ roasted potatoes, & boiled green beans. To top it all off: jumbo shimp cocktail. WE got Merloit, Negro Modello, Sangria & some other drinks.

Some great home made food to have with family.

why the fuck would i do that.

Sauce brought to you by Don Pepino . There's no point in making it yourself if you've got Don !

I usually roast everything in a cast iron pan over the winter but now that it’s warming up it’s just too hot to use the oven.

Time to light up the grill.

Everytime I see this thread bumped, I click to see a new Karou post, and everytime, I'm disappointed. Such a cocktease.

On topic, I just ate a bag of Old Dutch potato chips. One of them kind of looked like Karou. I couldn't bear to eat it, so, I gave it to the dog.
