I work from home, on a good run I can be there in 10 seconds. Sometimes, if the kids are in the way, it can take anything up to 20 seconds.

Does anyone go further?

10-15mins down the road, 7-8mins with no traffic. That said it's just to head office and I drive around town most days so I'm always commuting somewhere. I live closer than the boss! ha!

30 to 40 mins via public transport. This could have been hours (hueg metropolis) but I chose to live in the center of it all in front of all the public transportation I could use precisely because I'd rather kill myself then spend an hour or more on the commute.

Not me, both of my jobs are about a mile from my house, right across the street from each other. Mighty convenient! 😁

No commute. In a previous job I had 45min each way. I did that for 2 years. Seemed very normal at the time. I was also 23.

I range between 60 to 75 minutes, regardless if I drive or take the train

About 90 minutes via public transportation from home to work (approx. 11 miles). A tad longer going home since my connections aren't as good. Strangely on Saturday and Sunday, connections are better and takes slightly over an hour to and from work.

Several years ago I had an 80+ mile drive to work, took about 1:45 or longer to get there. Driving home at 3 or 4am felt like an eternity.

Now it's about 40 miles and takes an hour. I can do that standing on my head after being used to double that.

They have dollar stores that close?
There's a Dollar General in the same area, but, that's not where I work, nor is it a real dollar store (i.e., they charge normal prices on all of their merchandise). There's only one "real" dollar store left here, Dollar Tree, but, that's 12 miles away in an adjacent city. They charge $1.25 for everything now too. Inflation.

I work from home, it’s fucking fantastic rolling out of bed at 8.55 am.

We have face to face meetings each quarter. As I’m in Edinburgh and the HQ is on the edge of London I guess technically my commute is 5 hours by train - but as I said that’s only once every 3 months.

It’s quite nice having hotel, meals and drinks all expenses paid for a couple of days. I’ll choose a restaurant or bar I want to go to after work either with colleagues or just meet people while I’m there.

Takes me 20-30 minutes depending on traffic, and that was my max when looking to buy a house several years back. Windshield time needs to be factored in to the complete package of a job. I’d need to make stupid money to drive an hour and a half each way, and I make good money, not stupid money.

5.5mi, no highways.

In rush hour it’s about 20 minutes, otherwise about 14. This is not by accident. An hour spent in traffic is an hour deleted from your life so I refuse to take jobs that far away. Most of the people I work with drive 40 minutes or more each way though, and that’s at like 85mph. I don’t understand that shit, honestly.

Long drives don't have to be life wasted. You could listen to an audio book for example.

Multitask, do both! Switch hands every other day so one arm doesn't become grotesquely muscular in comparison to the other.

My drive is about 30 min to and 35-40 min coming home. It's a nice country drive at least

I suppose there's no reason it couldn't be an erotic audio book
