I agree that FIGHTERS is probably the genre with the most sore losers.

Have any of you ever played a game of SS4 in a local arcade?? I remember when it first came out me and a friend were the only ones who were used to the defensive style of play and were totally beating everyone. But with that game around here nobody plays it at all because they have no patience. They slam the buttons like its Marvel Vs. Capcom and maybe know moves but have no clue how to attack. If some people actually thought when they played games maybe more people whould like SNK.

I saw a guy get mad at the WAR ASSAULT game. The Atari game, where you control the player and shoot other players, in first person view.
The person who was got mad, is notorious for using cheap techniques, but I think he is pretty good in most games, other people just think he's the greatest cheater of all time. The three other guys went after the guy. Everytime, he died, the other three guys would look for him, and some kids were telling the other three guys where he was when he reappeared. Then they kept blasting him, as soon he was vulnerable.
Doing that is wrong, but then again, the kinds of things he did to those guys, in other games over the years, in games like Xmen vs. Street Fighter, MVC, MVC2 would make anyone go after him in a game when they have a chance. I never three guys would go after him at the same time.

I never got the chance to play in one of those video reality arcades. I totally wish I had but damnit i was too young!! When I was around 7 years old they had one that was all video reality games and what ended up happening is they shut down the following year due to sales I guess. Just this year I would be old enough, even though back then I was mature enough. Beleive it or not i'm only 13 now, which makes it hard in arcades because anyone could beat the crap out of me if they got pissed.

Where I play, depending on who is working, they will not give refunds. Even if the game is not functioning properly. Too many people did all the glitches in various games, like SF2 guile's handcuff, and purposely not get out after they've made it to Bison, or the Third Strike Blackout, with Ken on Makoto. MvC2 I don't know anything about the game but all I know is that someone freezes the game, and always asked for six tokens back. Claiming that he was challenging a friend. In DR. Mario, one can freeze the game in two ways, one permanently and one temporarily. The game place got tired of handing out refunds I guess, cause it became obvious that some people were there to rip them off.</STRONG>

Well, the way I look at the situation, it wasn't the arcade's fault that I lost $.50. It was the other player's fault. But I wasn't about to ask the him for $.50 because of the mood he was in. He left immediatly, and it was probably better that way. Getting into a fight over a Street Fighter match would be utterly ridiculous, no?

I mean, god forbid you have a little bit of challenge.

And someone else tell me you don't look around the room while you're playing KoF thinking.... "who want's some?".</STRONG>

One thing I think all players should keep in mind is that it's better to play a player who is better than you than someone you can beat all over the screen. Learn from your mistakes, and be better from it next time, that's what I say.

I think the only time I get upset when I am playing a fighter is when I play someone who is good, they know it, and they still trash talk. I don't mind losing because with each loss I learn something or improve my playing. Just like people said, "I hate those players that think they are all that" I can't stand the ones that ARE and feel the need to let everyone know. It always makes me feel good to see a cocky player go down, especially to someone that may no be as good as them.........but losing to someone who trash talks and has a cocky attitude pisses me off.....I don't mind it if it's a friend cause then it's kinda of a joking matter....but some of these people just take it so DAMN personal......

I remember there was this guy when Zero 3 came out....he was whopping everyone and looking around after beating people like "Yeah, I'm the shit, who can beat me?" So I watched, waited then I finally challenged him......I picked Rolento. He snickered since not very many people pick him. I thought "Just wait til you get a stick whopping!" needless to say, I whomped his ass. He didn't expect me to play so well with Rolento. I love using the string-them-up level 3 super! Got him with that one the second round and ended with it and a PERFECT! Why is something like that so gratifying? Felt good to put him in his place.....then I went on to beat the CPU game and walked away when the credits scrolled...... <IMG SRC="smilies/cool.gif" border="0">

Lots of people underestimate the usually un-used characters in any street fighter type game. Like my best character is Sakura and most people would laugh also whenever I picked her...but I had my payback just like djbomberman.

My favorite line to say to someone is...
"Before you talk, win, That's all you have to do"
It does feel good to beat someone who everyone finds a nuisance, I hate people who have the attitude that they are invincible, and claim that such and such technique can't be beaten. Revenge is so sweet, but if the opponent was a game slut, he'll just heal faster and do the same thing again.
Right now, I'm thinking about challenging that guy who claimed that he is supposed to beat anyone with his best character.
