With the amount of PCBs and homecarts you stockpile? Pls. ;)

LOL. Busted. I like to think my setup is tasteful and sophisticated (but it probably isn't).

My SO is not much of a gamer, but still plays her LEGO games on console, plays Torchlight II and likes her puzzle solving/item finding games. At the time I wasn't living with her quite yet when my big red purchase came up. I was shitting bricks about telling her about the purchase at the time wasn't quite sure how she would react. In the end she was actually was very supportive of the purchase and gave up her china cabinet in place of the big red. She knows how I feel about my hobby's and gaming in general shes freaking amazing person. I always try to include her on what I am doing just as a curtsy because she would do the same for me.

Now only thing I need to do is get her to stop complaining that I take on other projects without finishing the ones I start. :lolz:

Basically, your chick doesn't have to be wild about the games in order to be supportive of something that you dig.

This.

My wife has never been into playing. She does sometimes try when our kids ask her but she has other hobbies and her work as a scientist. But I think she has never said anything negative about me playing. And now that I have my basement man cave, I can collect even more stuff.

My wife doesn't really care about the hobby or the money, but she's at a point where she cares about space. All the stuff takes up space, whether it's on a shelf, in the basement family room, etc. It was a lot easier pre-kids b/c I had my own dedicated areas, but they keep shrinking.

Now she's eyeing my cabs and wanting one gone so she can put an extra refrigerator there. I think I've held out and not given ground long enough that she's given up on that happening.

I'd honestly be ok with some stuff being sold, but it's just so much of a pita to do.

Most people I know have very understanding wives who allow some man space. That space seems to drastically shrink once kids show up.

The baller thing is to maintain a cab per kid policy. Every additional kid allows you to have an additional cab in your man cave. It's a win-win-win situation.

I'm gonna be adding this clause to my marriage effective immediately...

But I don't think my Mrs. will have a problem with it.
She loves playing puzzle bobble on the big red,
and challenges anyone who comes over to a versus round...

She also asks all the time if there's any games i want.
And knows off the top of her head the next 5 mvs carts I want.

I got it pretty easy!

My wife doesn´t look to much at gaming because she has few spare time, otherwise I´m sure things would be different.

My wife and I actually play games together quite often. Mainly on my NES. She likes Dr. Mario, Contra, and the Super Mario Bros series. On the Neo, lots of Bust a Move and the occasional Metal Slug. That being said, she still rolls her eyes whenever I buy more games.

I hear that. I think that's my wife's biggest complaint. She hasn't forced me to sell off much yet, but she's put her foot down a few times when I've wanted to buy another cab.

Mine doesn't mind my games as it's part of my job and while she occasionally plays, she always gets pissed when I don't let her win! :D

My wife knew I was into gaming before we got married. Shes doesn't bust my balls about the stuff I have but does bust my balls about the new stuff I buy. I've calmed down with my video game spending alot. As I get older I'm finding less time to play video games. I'm almost at the point were I enjoy looking and showing off the games I own more then actually playing them. Sad but true.

My son plays in the game room. Wife doesn't set foot in there anymore. Oh well. Her loss. She gets more upset that my new hobbies (shooting, fishing) are away from home and I'm gone when I'm doing them. I put my time in with my son and can go do whatever the fuck I want. If she doesn't like it, we're adults and will work something out. But we're equals, so putting her foot down on anything is out of the question

Once upon a time I had girlfriend that somehow got hooked on Halo 1, for a solid week I saw her playing...the first day and a half was mostly running around looking at the ground or straight up in the air, day 2 she got the hang of the 2 thumbsticks and a few days later she completed the game...that was the only time I ever saw here touch a video game in the 4 years we dated...

The current girlfriend has *claimed* to have played games at some point, though I've yet to verify that claim at any point over the last 2 years. At this point she appears to be mostly amused with the constant stream of packages making their way into my house. She does appear to be confused as to why I spend most of my time tinkering with the cabinets rather than playing them...though I have noticed that her interest seems to peak whenever the soldering iron makes and apperance.

I have noticed the last few months that she seems to be hatching a rather of subtle plan to relegate my cabinets to the basement and out of the "dining room"...she's been lamenting the fact I don't have a kitchen table for sometime now. I'll most likely move 3 of them down there one of these days and buy her a kitchen table, it is rather sweet that she wants to sit at a table together and discuss the events of the day in a proper dining room setting. However the NeoGeo cabinet will remain upstairs in the dining room... eating Taco Bell at midnight in the glow of KoF98' simply provides to much nostalgia to give up completely I'm affraid...

My wife tracked down and bought me my Big Red cab for my birthday this year. She's really good at Magical Drop and a good partner in the Metal Slug series. She also keeps me on my toes in Mario Kart.

We each get a weekly spending limit for whatever we want that's outside our bills. I save my cash, sell my games that I don't play anymore and if there is a must have one time only deal out there that I want to scoop up, I setup a payment plan to put it on a credit card and pay it back in a reasonable time frame.

As long as I'm upfront about purchases, she's cool. If it's a game she wants too then it's even better.

The wife lets me get away with pretty much all of my collection, but it's getting to the point where it's becoming a space issue. Games across multiple generations of consoles. AES carts taking up shelves of space. My collection is to the point where I need to buy another book case to start filling up, and I think that's going to be a real fight haha

But I put Mario Kart 8 in the Wii U and she will play for hours. Still can't get her into Neo-Geo

My wife played some weird point and click flash game about a detective. Aside from SMW it's the only game I've seen her get into. I'm going to introduce her to the Monkey Island series soon. I think she will enjoy it.
