Someone get this man one now. He'll probably do incredible things with it and make awesome videos about it.

SCSI2SD is a godsend.

Good luck on your hunt. I've always been interested in one of these myself but not enough to pull the trigger.

yeah it's a great device. Especially for arcade stuff. Revived that Crypt Killer pcb with one...so easy

You could probably find a defective one on yaj for a decent price.

Probably just a bad power supply.

That was my initial idea but I know 9/10 defective units will just have a shit power supply. I’ll manage to buy the 1/10 that has roaches and electrolytic fluid eating at the board.

I cleaned ONE thing from roach goo once in my years as a collector. Never doing that shit ever again 😂

My first X68000 had dead bugs inside it and the power supply smelled like low tide at the pier.

Honestly, your best bet is probably to get a junk later model where you won’t have to worry about a NiCad battery on the mainboard

My brother's was sold on Yahoo Japan as junk. Luckily it was able to boot games, despite the CMOS error message it always displayed. Never got rid of the message until recently. It was a great find. That was at least a decade ago though.

yeah I may just try and grab a "wont power on" junk one on YAJ and assume it just needs a power supply conversion to a Pico
