Tragic, theres bugger all on the guy outside that article and the bbc archive video.

His son (allegedly) popped up in the comments of the YouTube videos (there are two vids) that BBC put up.

53, an accountant, not blown up. Not too many memories of dad, because he died during a jump gone wrong when the kid was barely 5.

My parents were fans of Fred Dibnah when I was a kid, I'd watch bits here and there and it didn't bother me, quite liked him. However, a fear of heights that I never used to have has crept up on me with age, and now I felt absolutely sick during a couple of moments in that clip.

Fair play to the people who can do that kind of work.
