Does anyone know what size chip these are? I've got several of them and trying to understand where I can use them. Do they use JEDEC pinout or what?

EDIT: I cannot find anything on these chips at all - it's like they don't exist lol. I think I pulled them off a Puzzle Bobble Boot - possibly used for VROM and CROMs, so I am guessing they are pin compatible with the 27C800? It's just a question of how big are they? These are 40 pin btw!!! Don't confuse these with the 27C4000 which is 32 pin - that might be why I cannot find any info. Not sure how the hell two chips can use the same part number and yet be completely different pin count?!?

4Mbit chips are the biggest mess of all eproms. Nobody stuck to a standard between 8-16bit and mask-jedec.
Off the top of my head you have...040,240, 400, 401, 402, 4000, 4001, 4002, 4096, 4100, 4200,
