4 slot top board capacitors

What do the 1000uf capacitors on the top board do on my 4 slot? It looks like the board has taken a tumble, and the capcitors are bad.

I'm fixing up a board my buddy picked up on the cheap that seems to be missing these caps as well, and whatever was on JP1.

Does anyone have the values for these caps? I'd appreciate it.

nm, found this info in a post at KLOV. for anyone wondering, they're 1000uf 16v.

1000uf @ 10v, you can use 16v too.

They are simply used to filter the +5v power to the top board.
