When I lived in Vegas, I was collecting MVS games, to get to my goal of owning a cabinet, back then I was a moron working at a movie theater. Now, I am still a moron but with a job with benefits and better pay, and getting my taxes soon so why not complete my dream in owning a MVS cabinet.

Questions,

I know there are two version the stand up and the candy one, which one is a better buy, is there a difference? I haven't played a candy cab yet.

Let say the monitor(joystick, etc.) burns out, is it somewhat affordable to replace it?

Good price range?

Good shipping price range?

Hard MVS has a great photo section with "bios" on the cabs.

some of the Candy Cabs have larger screens(29" 33") and different type of buttons than the US cabinets.

button differences

You should also decide wether you'll be gaming standing up, or sitting down, Candy Cabs require chairs, plus they're made out of metal so they might be heavier, I don't know

My advice is go to ebay and search for "arcade" and filter the results so they display "nearest first". I'm sure you'll find something.

the candies are lighter than the wooden cabs. btw where do you live now? candies are a litte more difficult to come across on the east coast.

I'd definitely second buying a japanese candy cab over a full sized big red. Lighter to move around and I think it has a larger monitor. Most of the japanese candies sport 29" monitors. I just bought a fullsize u.s. smashtv cab and its a monster to try to move compared to my candy cabs. Do you plan on playing other games on it besides just neo geo?

I live in Minooka IL...well it's an hour away from Chicago if that helps.

good price for a machine upright and/or candy please?

I don't know how much I should pay in shipping, I know I am getting insurance on it, how much should that be?

what is a good site to get replacement parts?

Candy cabs own. But then again, if you grew up in America, there is probably a place for some wood cabs in your heart somewheres too. Given the choice, I would probably take a candy.
