A MV1C that thinks is a 3-slot (!)

After repairing a backup ram error in a MV1C, the board shows "SLOT 1" and then starts the game. If you press "select" it shows "SLOT 2" and the same game starts... with parental advice! Select again and same as slot 1.
The soft switches appeared bad, with 1p coin = 0 credits.
If it's a backup ram error, shouldn't it appear in the bios self test? :scratch:

After replacing the backup RAM go into the hardware tests menu and reset the RAM.

You might have a bad header and need a Unibios to rewrite it. I remember someone saying that.

All hardDIPs on will also force clear the backupRAM. Also its address 0xD00060 what determines if the SLOT number message will show or not... So it does still point to an issue with the backupRAM somewhere.

Complete Backup ram replacement and problem is gone. ;) Thanks.
I'll test the rams in a specific board with a socket, to find out wtf happened to not fire the alarm in bios tests.
