You know good and well this was no accident. They're part of the Wall Street big boys and purposely tried to prevent communication to cockblock a protest against what could be their interest.

Yahoo blocked email messages about Wall Street protests
CBS News)

Yahoo apologized Monday after people using its e-mail service were prevented from sending messages about anti-Wall Street demonstrations over the weekend.

The company said that an external spam filter had blocked the messages but maintained that it was inadvertent. It said that the problem has since been resolved, though there may be some residual issues.

This is the same company that has weird autocorrect filters for email to prevent javascript and stopped allowing common arab names or references to Allah as screen names. It wouldn't surprise me if there were filters against anti-"anything here" for Yahoo. It's a glorified web portal where most of their stuff is either banal or pointless. I chalk it up to really strange management and people actually trying to use Yahoo for productivity.

I wouldn't be surprised if other larger email clients follow suite in the "filter out anything that could harm our profits".

This country is becoming a bigger joke by the day.

All the rollerderby boards I'm on are all yahoo driven.
I don't know why.
They're pretty terrible.
Other than that, I have a flickr account.
I'm okay with that application,
although I know there are other comparable services.

Yahoo Answers is still entertaining to me. I was a top contributor once, and all I did was spout random bullshit in the Mythology and Folklore section.

I've noticed that long ago. Yahoo email can't send messages to "certain email addresses", no doubt can't receive from them as well.

For example: one of those "certain addresses" is contact@bang2busters.com

Good thing I have another gmail account. XD

It's hard to tell if Yahoo Answers is either 100% trolling or are some people really that stupid.

My favorite section is the tattoo/body piercing sub-section in which 3 out of 4 questions are "I'm turning 18 tomorrow, what tattoo should I get ?"

I hope I've helped thousands of idiots get lame art on their 18th b-day.

I remember Lupe Fiasco was trying to help orchestrate the protests. This isn't an accident.

Yahoo ratted out chinese dissidents to the chinese gov.

They are probably in prison for life or dead.

Yahoo is evil, and I'm not surprised by this news story
