To run a CPS-2 Game PCB, (i.e. MvC, XMvsSF) do you need an A Motherboard? or can you run the game with just the PCB?

Anyway. The answer to your question is yes and no. The majority of the titles run on the ab system. The a board being the motherboard and the b board being the software. Blue matches up with green which matches up with yellow.

So BLUE GREEN & YELLOW use the same motherboard.

GREY & ORANGE use the same motherboard.

Blue is USA
Yellow is Japanese Rent
Green is Japanese
Grey is Asia
Orange is Spanish Speaking Countries
Blue ETC is Europe

Some versions of the newer games ie Marvel VS Capcom do not require the A motherboard everything is in one pcb.

Anything else?
