I'm a film student and I want to have multiple back-ups of my work. It's stored on the university's network right now, but that'll be gone in a couple months when I (hopefully) graduate.

Raw footage (especially HD) takes up a lot of space. Ideally, I'd like to have at least 20tb of space (basically 10tb worth of storage and a back up). I see some consumer grade 5tb drives going for $150ish on Amazon, I was just hoping I could get a better deal from somewhere, especially if I was buying in bulk.

I've heard stories of people getting lucky purchasing lots of used drives on eBay (businesses upgrading and getting rid of old equipment). Retailers will occasionally have a reasonable deal on multiple drives, but this isn't too common. The best deals on new HDD's tend to be quantity limited: One drive per person, one rebate per household, etc.
