Well... however brief, enjoy your stay dude.

I totally understand how some people outgrow this place, but it's always good to you have this place to come back to.

I might be around semi regularly. To be honest I miss this place and more than a few of you who for whatever yours reasons DON'T have a facebook page. I generally just hangout there though these days. Just got a lot going on both personally and professionally. Back in the Security Forces/Enforcement side of employment after a 4 1/2 year hiatus/retirement, but it's what I do and how my brain works. I think deep down I knew I'd return to the feild but didn't want to admit it to myself. I needed a time to just be me, to find myself (after the divorce) and just party and act a fool and do things I had never done in a long time or before (Rave, Bringe Drinking, Clubbing with on premises sexcapades ---one with Poison once in a EBM Club, car surfing nekkid down a street, China White and more.)

Glad to see a lot of you still here. I'm the same guy ya'll remember from back in the day. Just "Down to Earth" no longer a judgmental piece of shit, and respective of everyone's rights to be who they are. I'm still a rugged S.O.B. (can't change that), but the crap a lot of you remember is long gone. The homophobia is gone, all the bullshit postering is gone. Guess you could say that in my marriage I had become the worst part of myself because I was with a venomous woman and I didn't see it, and it exacerbated some of my father's ass backwards SUPER TOUGH GUY BULLSHIT. I spent the first half of my life being a hard ass and thinking everything had to be John Rambo and John Wayne. Well I took back my life in 2011, and would like to think myself a more well rounded guy who get along with everyone, having totally embraced my inner nerd again too.

Oh man you're seeing Tesla Boy? That's fucking killer. Let us know how that show is.

I'm sure you have seen the three photos I posted eariler this morning while still at Empire Control Room & Garage in Austin, but I'll repost them here. All I can say is that the group AND Anton Sevidov sound just like they're studio recordings and it's not them lipping it... they play differing versions of their songs, like for example "Spirit of the Night" (an encore song they came back out to do) lasted 12 fucking minutes and everyone went nuts. They did a version of "Thinking of You" that was fucking sick. I was disappointed they didn't do "Another Light" "Waste my Body" or "Liberate Soul" or *Undetected* and 1991 off their new album, but they did a lot of great stuff. And Anton was fucking cool as shit, kickin' it with the 8 of us who waited to chit chat with them. Was supposed to buy the group a round of beers and shots, but the damn bar closed early (for whatever reason). They were tired though and needed to rest up, as they play in Atlanta tonight at another club.

Guess I picked a good time to come back into the fold if Shagohod is back. Things can only become more entertaining. :buttrock:

Sounds like you got good shit going on as always.

Just doing the dad thing here and being the giant otaku faggot I am (typing with a sleeping kid on me right now).

I had been meaning to come back through these parts, but the last year 2013, has been about me re-establishing myself after the divorce professionally. 2011 was my party year and 2012 was the year I entered a new relationship with the best woman on planet Earth (IMO), and I only fear sometimes that a few things outside of ourselves that have nothing to do with the other, may in time be the reasons two people who are perfectly meshed at ages 35 going on 36 (me) and 46 going on 47, might go our separate ways. I hope not, cause as crazy as this seems, if 4 years from now I'm still with Teri, I'm going to want to get remarried. She's the one I should have met, but I don't regret having been married to my ex because I have my two wonderful kids Fyana and Jake, and I really can't imagine my life at 35 without them in it. It just sucks only getting to see them Sundays and Mondays during the school year and (1) Saturday night into Sunday out of the month. :(

I hear you on the kid thing. Those of us who are dads just have to be super dad. I do so much with the two it's insane. Heck I just got an old 2002 Phillips AX5119 45ESP JogProof DISCMAN and both kids want one just like me as they are spirit kids of the 1980s and early to mid 90s and actually don't like iPODs and Mp3 players and love watching movies and anime of VHS, as I recently got back into the analog format in a big way, though still watch my share of DVDs and the occassional Bluray.

That's the fun thing within our current society structure, we move to both people needing to work, which means women have less time to do things and are advertised to as being Super Moms. Everyone forgets though that the man's responsibilities to be a man (do the job to pay the bills, take care of the house, etc.) haven't changed and now have the extra responsibilities of taking care of the kids (well, still just kid for me) on top of it. But no, we are the idiots that try putting the diaper on as a hat and try feeding them the bottle rectally.

I'm really enjoying the whole fatherhood thing so far. Going to go really fucking cliche here, but it's a lot of work but it's rewarding, you see all these little growth points being it along the way, balances it all out. Hope my little guy turns out like yours do, appreciating things you can actually own, that have plots & stories that build over time, instead of taking everything in 140 characters and 6 seconds at a time.

Mike, it's good to see you back on the forum. I had actually been thinking about dropping you a PM to see how the heck you were doing, until I found this thread.

It's called stayin' off the grid.

When "THEY" come for us, it's not gonna' matter much. But you'll have a week's advantage over me and others, that's about it. *LOL*

I guess all things are a circle, and we all eventually end up back in the same place. Just glad that the person I am now IS NOT the person I was when I left these parts. I've traveled, lived, and experienced life from the ground up, assisted those I ridiculed in the past, and been wiser for it. I'm still about being Contra to over bearing Draconian bullshit (seems it's everywhere these days)... but I pick and choose my battles a bit wiser, and realize ultimately, when the party's over it's over (in more ways than one). I live day-by-day or week by week, hoping for the best but still planning for the worse. Still a paramilitary stray dog grunt, but it's not WHO I am anymore, it's just part of who I am. That was the big mistake I made for the first half of my life.

Glad to be back. (Sort of).

It sounds like you have grown a lot as a person. You'll be a better man for it and most importantly an even better father than you already were.

Post some threads and pics about your travels and adventures along the way. You've always taken life by the horns; that's something many people envy.

Well... "I have moments."

and thanks.

I don't have a lot of photos of some of the travels, but I'll leave you with this. Which is a custom banner that Mike Yagami (from these parts) did for my facebook cover photo some time ago that has "Key" moments from 2011 and 2012 in it all bad ass utilizing my adopted name that I've gone by Offline since 2008.

Gonna' be in and out of here for a few days just out of plain old curiosity, and wondering who that I might know is still posting in these parts. Just visiting for a bit, and then it's back to stormriding other parts of Cyberspace (mostly FaceBook)

Did you get a new number? PM it to me, I got some news for you.

I see you on facebook all the time, but glad to see you popping in here as well.

Super dad is an understatement. My hat off to you for working so hard for your kids and spending as much time with them as possible.

Well like I always say... "I TRY." and that's about all I can do really. My ex wife is still proving to be a head case, though it's getting a little better with the "Being Professionally Amicable" but not by much. She still tries to turn the kids against me, citing bullshit with not enough child support (something the state determines depending on what I make and I make enough to get by and do a few things), but she fails to realize I spend more money on them and for them when I have them than I do on myself outside of necessities like Rent, Gas Money and other bills. But enough of that. Fyana is about to turn 8 in November and she's already beginning the beginnings of puberty!??? I don't know how to deal with the mood swings and shit, whereas Jake will be 5 in January and he's become ALL BOY and wants to be with is daddy. The kid is actually better than me at some fighting games already too. I gotta' give the kiddos credit. THEY'RE RETRO. They really don't like the current generation of gaming save maybe a few games on the Wii, they'd rather by playing Mega Drive, Famicom/NES, Atari 2600/7800 and Playstation 2.

Yeah I avoid that place like the plague. Sorry, mang.

I understand.

If I didn't RELY on it for coordinating with friends, and mapping out events and stuff (also I often get my news on there as I rarely watch TV, except briefly at work) I probably would have taken my page down already. I've given up on ever doing so. Though it's not entirely out of the question either. I'd just have to be fed up enough with life itself to just leave it all behind, and I almost did in Feb of 2012 before things starting looking up, when I saw "the bullshit" for what all the partying and one night stands amounted to. BUT, this old Stray Dog Grunt don't know how to just lie down and die. So I kept on keeping on and tail end of March of 2012 I ran into the woman of my dreams through a mutual friend. Well rounded, MY TYPE, red head almost albino white and thick and busty, hypersexual like me, and to top it all off... A COUGAR. I couldn't have asked for any better. Guess 20+ years of dealing with bullshit up to and including my marriage paid off. Since then I've been in a relationship that I only ever dreamed of. Finishing each other's sentences, xXx Rated Porno type sex sometimes (3) in a 24 hour period where little to nothing is taboo. I'M A HAPPY HAPPY MAN!

I hope all is well with you chica. I remember I was supposed to have met you and Todd (Ancient Flounder) when ya'll were originally moving to Austin but I guess one day maybe I will?

Yap. See you on there (FB) from time to time too. That place is fucking "Digital Crack Cocaine."

I damn near forgot this place was here...not sure how but I did...

All things lose their luster over time, but THE NGC is a place that all of us seem to return to at some point. And all men will think their origins is from Arcadia!

Glad you're all good Merc.

Thanks.

I'm better than ever and twice as hard and amorous.
