back-up RAM cart

Will this back-up RAM cart work on a JVC XEye console because my Shining Force CD for the Sega CD needs one to save on scenarios 3 and 4 because of RAM space. Any help will be appreciated.

The carts on Ebay seem expensive and it will take awhile for me to save up for because I'm about to send off a $75 check today or tomorrow to JRedmond3 for the JVC XEye console with Pier Solar (first print) that I put a $100 deposit on last month. I will get to play carts a CD games again plus the Genesis repros.

Can the console be region modded for carts and CD games?

Time for play some Demon's Crest and Sky Blazer on the SNES.
