Yep SNK made Beast Busters and it was a totall flop much like the rest of the Hyper games were.
I played it a few times when it was first out and it was very mediocre much like the Hyper driving games were. Definitly not anywhere near the level of the HOD games. Pick of one here <a href="http://www.basementarcade.com/arcade/auction/a39/Beast%20Busters.jpg" target="_blank">http://www.basementarcade.com/arcade/auction/a39/Beast%20Busters.jpg</a>

Actually the NGPC Dark Arms game was derived from the Hyper Beast Busters , you can read about that here <a href="http://www.defunctgames.com/reviews/darkarms.htm" target="_blank">http://www.defunctgames.com/reviews/darkarms.htm</a>

and as for you developing question .. the Hyper is as dead as dead gets ! No support anywhere , I think that has alot to do with the reason it failed { I dont think SNK could get any 3rd party support upon release } Personally I like the Hyper hardware and Im planning on doing a dedicated Type II Hyper cabinet for the fighters.
Stay away from the driving boards though { they are hard to find anyway } they are in no way Jamma compatible and require a dedicated driving cabinet to use, and they are just plain poor games.

But that's Beast Busters 1, the 1989 game that started the series.

This one:

But it makes little sense to own it without the whole cab...you need guns and it's not even Jamma...

Do you happen to have pictures of the Type II Hyper cabinet?
right here <a href="http://www.arcade-infinity.com/galdcjc09.htm" target="_blank">http://www.arcade-infinity.com/galdcjc09.htm</a> the lcd screen at the top was used for viewing the other players charachter during a match when 2 cabs were linked { or so I have been told anyway }

Thanks candycab,

I have seen these cabinets before, but I forgot their name.

I am so obsessed about finding pictures of dedicated american Hyper64 fighting cabs that I am starting to act goofy loco
