We ordered a game called JoJo Bizzare Adventure (DCJ) from them years back our card was charged but we did not get any ship out confirmation for over 3 weeks...after that we got an e-mail saying they were out of stock...and asked us if we wanted another title...

Some people have normal transactions with these folks, but MANY have had problems. They had at least 200 complaints against them to the Better Business Bureau.
I think someone even made a website to teach people the evil of Buywrong.

If you feel the urge to order from them, here's a little advice. Take the money you were gonna send them and go buy lottery tickets. Cause that's what ordering from them is, a game of odds. And the odds aren't in your favor.

Why hasnt a STICKY been posted listing all the shady merchants, members, ebayers, etc? So that its a one-stop thread?
Sure would prevent a lot of this repeat stuff. Im not complaining, I just favor simplicity and convenience over saving damsels in distress everytime they get stuck on the same train-tracks.

And the Better Business Bureau can't actually do anything to a company; they simply keep a log of complaints made. That way, if you are curious about a company's reputation, you can contact them and see if anyone has had any problems in the past when dealing with said company. Of course, most normal people would probably be turned off when they hear of Buyrite's track record, so maybe the BBB isn't a total waste...

I sold 4 SFC games to them also. They paid in the first 2 hours of winning. I didnt even send an invoice, but I guess they bought the games cause they already owed them to someone else. They are a great buyer, but selling is way way way different. I dont hear good things about their selling service.
I'm shocked to hear all this about Buyrite.
I've been dealing with them since 1999, and had no problems.
I've even referred some of my friends and they have had no problems.
I haven't ordered anything from them since early 2002 though.

My expierience with BuyRite.
I came across their site which looked very professional, not to mention they sold on ebay and yahoo auctions.
So my first order was for REZ and Shenmue 2 for Dreamcast. Got them in a week, although they werent wrapped, they were in perfect condition.
I started getting involved in the Jaguar development scene. I came across their site again and they had a huge list of rare jag games cheap. Like $5.00 each. So I added all of them to my cart and ordered them. About a week later I got an email saying all the games were out of stock. Then why do the retards have them listed? At the time I didnt know it, but they had charged my card for the games anyway.
I was looking for a Jaguar CD. They had one listed as used for $70.00. So I ordered it. A month went by. I emailed and tryed to call. Finally it showed up. In a box with no packaging. It was broke and wouldnt stay shut. Did it happen during shipping you ask? No because "broken" was written on the bottom of it with a permanent marker. Also it came with a Sega Genesis adapter.
Eventually the game charge was credited to my card. But I had to learn the hard way, I never got anything done about the Jag CD. Sorry about the long post.

Outta the 30+ times I have ordered from them I was only kinda screwed over ONE TIME.

I've been buying stuff from them since 98, and have to admit no problems. The worst I can say about them is that they can be really, really slow with shipping, but otherwise, they've been good to me. Usually they have excellent prices, although I have to say their Neo carts are massively overpriced.
The nice thing about Buy-Rite is that if you can find a lower advertised price on the net and send them the link with an email about ordering, they'll beat that price for you. Good way to chop an easy $100 off a Neo cart
