Hi

I've just got my first MVS which I want to consolise. I've been reading around and think I've got the necessary information to do it. Most of which is from http://www.jamma-nation-x.com/jammax/tutorials.html (Xian Xi's site right?)

Anyway, found the link for stereo sound - http://www.neobitz.com/Pages/Mods/MV1FZ-S.aspx

I understand that 12v is only needed for the amplified sound, so I'm not going to need it.

Then I saw the guide called "MV1FZ +5v Only Mod" which goes into a lot of detail about running it with only 5v, this is the first time I've read that you have to perform some extra steps to use just 5v, but I'm guessing it's by MKL and MKL knows his stuff!!

Now I've read this http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?223796-MV1FZ-5V-mod-gt-No-sound&highlight=MV1FZ which Xian Xi says you need 12v to get true stereo sound using the guide at neobitz? (I think I read that right)

Just found MKL's original post about the 5v mod - http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?200962-MV-1fz-Stereo-mod-problems&p=2796968#post2796968 which says you can still use the neobitz mod to get stereo sound.

If it makes a difference, I will be using it with a RGB capable TV and using the neobitz mod I can feed the stereo sound to the TV?

Thanks for any advice offered :)

Pete

Yup, the original quote of needing +12v for audio was before MKL released the info to run it with only +5v. Once you do the +5v mod you can also do the Neobitz stereo mod and it works.
