I recently ran into a problem with the p1 credit board on the my mvs cab.
When I power it up, it shows a "20" for the credits and the p2 credit board shows 0.
In game, it shows 0.
My best guess is there is a short somewhere. This happen to anyone before? Any ideas how to fix it if I don't find a short?

Is your PCB set to freeplay?

I was curious because my one slot would keep the credits posted if it was in freeplay and didn't subtract them when you hit start.

PCB is set to freeplay. I know what you are asking. Its not that there are credits in it, it is just glitchy and showing a 2 on the left side.

I tried switching them and it cleared them up the first time.
Switched them back and it showed 20 again.
So tried switching them again and it was shwoing 20.

I swapped the credit boards, and same thing is happening on the 1p side.
So, my best guess is that there is a wiring issue.

Did you try changing the credit pcb harnesses at the PCB or just at the credit pcb?

I tried both.
First I swapped the harnesses at the pcb then I swapped the credit boards.

It could be a loose connector on the pcb. It worked once and you say the harnesses are ok. I guess you could try just disconnecting the 1p credit switch to see if there is a change. If the harnesses from the pcb to the credit boards are fine I would suspect something on the PCB itself.

It worked once when I swapped.
But now when I try it, 1p always shows 20 no matter which its plugged into.
If it was the pcb, swapping them should make 2p show 20.

switch them again but this time disconnect the coin mechs before you boot it back up and see what happens, I had that problem with my P2 side for awhile and come to find out the short was actually in the wiring to the mech which was causing it.

I had a similar problem -- one of the wires in the harness where it plugs into the MVS PCB was loose. Push on the wires while watching your credit display and you shoud be able to figure out which one is causing the problem. Also check the credit PCB side harness if you can't find the problem on the other end.

You probably just have to bend one of the pins slightly in the harness to make better contact with the MVS male side connection.

That was from my experience. If you want a tested working credit harness, I am pretty sure I got a spare I could sell you -- just shoot me a pm.

I am gonna check all the wiring.
I am relatively sure it was working at first then started showing 20.
After switching them back and forth, it was showing correctly again (which I can't reproduce yet...).
So I will check by doing what you said and see what happens.

So...I fixed this issue...one of the wires wasn't making good contact at the mvs side.
I pushed in the pin a little with a small screwdriver and it works. :)
