Deleting settings on MVS 1-slot

I know how to delete the settings for ALL the games i've played on my 1-slot, what I want to know is if I can just delete selected ones..

The problem:
I bought Metal Slug today (yay! <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0"> ), and I wanted to get rid of all the scores the previous owner left on there. The only way I could see to do this was to clear the backup data in the Hardware test menu. Of course, now all my Pulstar and Blazing Star scores have gone too <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0">

Is there a way I could have deleted JUST the data for Metal Slug? I'd rather not lose my scores for that when I get my next games...

the only real way to do that is plug in 8 other games.. each time a new game is plugged in, it will move the least used game down one slot, till it "falls off". other than that, there's no other way.

Oh well, I'll just have to write down my best scores for games near the "drop-off" point. Thankfully I'd already written down the Pulstar/Blazing Star scores. The fighting games don't really matter.
