Just wondering what everyone thinks is a "fair" price for GBA games.

I personally feel that $29.99 would be awesome for all new releases, the highest should not be over $34.99 unless its some game which for some reason costs more to make or something.

$39.99 is a bit too much in my opinion, which is why I didnt purchase the recently released SF2 for the GBA. I have bought SF2 soooooooooo many times on soooo many systems that I couldnt bring myself to drop $40+ after taxes on another copy. I'll wait till I can grab if for $30.

They call me Quiet. But I'm a Riot.
hahah..
i totally agree.
i ve have so many street fighters..
i ve been thinking i ll wait till
sf alpha 3 comes out since i like that one
a tad bit more..
but for the price issue yea.
40 is too much.
some nintendo original products are
around 29.99~34.99
and just about all third party games are
39.99
i guess if they dropped the price on gba
stuff they would have to drop alot of gb color games
too.. down from the usual 30 bucks to maybe 20-25
personally i havent played my gba 3 weeks since
launch. and when i was playing it, i was only
playing zelda... and a bit of castlevania and 1943,
o yea.. and dragonwarrior... wow.. that was awhile ago.
i ve been wanting to pick up doom or
choroQ but really i dont want to spend 40 for a gba game.
thats money i could spend on my DC...

All I can say is if you don't need it now, why pay full price <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0"> I've been holding off on a lot of games that I want to buy - Devil may Cry, Time Crisis 2, etc - but they aren't prioritized at their current cost. Soon you'll be able to get one for $20.

Don't worry about supporting Capcom - last year they netted in enough profit to compete with a medium sized country.

It's not always a matter of how much the companies want to charge for the game, it's how much they have to charge. Fact of the matter is making games for the GBC or GBA is not a cheap endeavor, seeing as how all the parts and such have to come from Nintendo, and they're not cheap, plus companies do not make large amounts of money off these things either. I'm not crazy about paying 39.99 either, but as long as people are buying them at that price we'll be stuck paying it too, until we find shops that sell them for a bit less or luck out on egay. Sucks for us.

I feel the same way. $39.99 is a little high. $30 would be nice, and even $35 would be OK.

Damn right. Capcom is badass. And I bet the profits will be even greater this year.
