well dudes, after much deliberating I have decided to sell my custom restored Aero City and/or my Egret 2 Candy cabinets. I only need to sell one of these so I will close the thread once one of them does.
Guaranteed, you will not find another Aero City cabinet like this one. I originally bought it as just a broke down shell with no monitor and spent over a year sourcing parts and restoring it, saying nothing of the money I spent getting it done. I am completely anal about stuff like this, so rest assured there is nothing ghetto rigged or half assed about this cabinet.
I stripped, sanded and re sprayed the entire cabinet based on the 2 tone varieties that were released in Japan. Had new, matching side art printed and installed a brand new PSU and monitor in it. The original wiring was still in good shape so I stripped it out, cleaned it up and reinstalled in with all the original connectors. The control panel was ordered brand new from Riverservice and has seimitsu pearl buttons and seimitsu sticks installed in it. Additionally, the cabinet is wired for CPS 6 buttons (with kick harness included) and for neo-geo/PGM 4 button. Cabinet also has the hard to find Aero City marquee holder! After much searching I was finally able to source an original Nanao MS8-26SU with zero burn and great clean colors, that is what is still in the cabinet. As an additional bonus, I will be including a *second* Nanao MS8-26SU monitor (with some burn) and another chassis for the same monitor.
I am accepting reasonable offers at this point... I have not posted a price for this as I dont really *need* to sell the cabinet and I also know I will not get back what I put into it. Such is life.
Shipping is fine so long as the buyer arranges it entirely on their end and assumes full responsibility for any issues that may arise due to transit.
Local pickup is of course preferred.

Up next is my taito Egret 2 cabinet. This is one of the first E2's that matsu imported and the monitor is astounding in this cabinet. Truly. The panel (as evident in the pics) was originally a 4 button neo-geo layout... I modified it by punching holes for the kick buttons to make it Street Fighter ready. Spent alot of time doing this and the button configuration came out perfect with no mishaps to the original panel itself. Cabinet has the E2 marquee holder, instruction sheet, working coin mechs (for yen), and some of the taito handwipes that were given out in arcades in Japan. Monitor has absolutely ZERO screen burn and great geometry, crispness and color. Buttons are sanwa and the sticks are seimitsu LS-32.
Ballast needs a new bulb but I have put a new starter in it so it is good to go.
