For anyone interested, I’ve listed this original new old stock TAITO Egret 2 illumination panel on eBay with a $700 starting bid.

Thank you for giving us this unique chance at such a rare item listed on another site. This belongs in off-site commerce.

Ah thanks for making me aware. Didn’t realize this wasn’t the forum to list this. I rarely sell items.

My entire Egret II cost $800.
Yeah those were the good old days, if that is when you scored yours… when Matsu was importing them and selling Astro’s for $350-400. Egret 2’s for $1k-1200.

Unfortunately, those days are long gone. Candies sell for quite abit more now.

For anyone considering submitting a bid, just wanted to clarify:

US shipping is $30usd via USPS

International shipping is $115usd via USPS

eBay will not allow me to revise to include this information.

A winning international bidder would have to pay $30usd on EBay, then submit the $85usd additional shipping cost direct to me via PayPal F&F or add 4%, Venmo or Zelle to cover the cost of addtional shipping…

Unless EBay allows the buyer to pay the full $115usd via their site

AD9E5F0E-8257-4EEF-B443-CE1BEA8DE332.pngCreated a Pirate Ship account and will ship this way internationally. The cheapest option Appears to range from $60-75 w/tracking and $100 insurance via UPS versus the $250 I was quoted at the store.

Didn’t see an option to increase insurance but am sure it’s there for an additional cost.

@droid super happy you made such a badass sale on that - congrats! .... but seriously...W...T...F

Now that it's over I don't feel like I am shitting on your thread, but holy shitballs, that's insane. Like, certifiably insane. What is wrong with people?! I remember spending $150 for my Konami Windy 1 & 2 marquees and feeling like an idiot. This is on a whole other level. Glad I got out of the JAMMA game.

Madness.

Supply and demand I guess. Had several forum pm offers in the $575-650 range to end the auction and sell outright, so it sold for what it probably is worth these days.

If you consider Egret 2’s are currently going for $5k+ it doesn’t seem out of line (at least to me) for a NOS panel which doesn’t come up often.

But I hear ya. I’d taken a hiatus from the hobby for about (10) years and was shocked to see what Japanese Candy cabs go for these days compared to when we were first buying them…

And don’t get me started on Cave…

Shoot… I’m kicking myself for selling both Neo19’s I had for cheap bitd :(

Oh yeah that. 🤦🏻

Anyway looks like there’s money to be made with these illumination panels.

Hursit / TRFightsticks is taking pre-orders for a reproduction version.

$250

man, I just wouldn't sell high priced items on eBay anymore. They want a 1099 for anything sold over 600 bucks:

I'd rather just sell online through forums or something unless you're strapped for cash and need it now.
