GBA Namco Museum 50th... TATE mode!!!

So I bought myself a GBA micro... the screen is sooo beautiful. Acquired the Namco Museum 50th Anniversary Collection. Yeah, it's the same damn games they have released a million times before...
Pac-Man, Ms Pac-Man, Galaga, DigDug & Rally-X...
But press SELECT on the first 4 games which are originally vertical orientation, and you get 2 other views! Default is the horizontal fullscreen mode, there's a zoomed in horizontal scrolling mode, and... a vertical TATE mode! Obviously it plays better on a GBA micro, as the controls are just below the screen, and pressing "Fire' button in Galaga is a bit awkward... but it's TATE! Here's a pic:

Awesome, I thought i was the only one that was thrilled to hell when i found out about this. I love my micro. That screen....just......makes me cry

The PSP version's got Tate mode, too.

More games need to give us the Tate love.

Done that once. Friggin tv is heavy, but its SO worth it!

Some CRT's don't like to be put on their side. Some of them depend on normal orientation and if they are tilted, pressures are put in bad places, and magnetically distorts the image much like a magnet would if placed near the tube.
