Give me some recommendations for some GREAT GBA games (games that should not be missed -- not just good games). I haven't bought a new GBA game in years and I'm kind of itching for one.

Whats your poison?

I can think of a few I HAD to have...but my tastes can be weird.

Advance Wars 1 and 2 are great for strategy

I still play Doom on a regular basis.

Gunstar Super Heroes is pretty awesome.

Golden Sun [I haven't played 2]

The Megaman Zero games are all great

castlevania: aria of sorrow - it's getting rereleased soon, so don't drop $60 on it just yet

chuchu rocket - the puzzle mode will keep you busy for months/years

Wow, so many good games...where to start?

For more recent stuff:

Gunstar Super Heroes -- kind of easy on Normal mode, but on Hard it's amazing.
Astro Boy: Omega Factor -- all around excellent game
Metroid Fusion/Metroid Zero Mission -- both of these are great, although I personally like Fusion better.
Gradius Galaxies -- I've sunk many, many hours into this shooter.
Sigma Star Saga -- just finishing this game up...I personally think it's great, although the first part of the game is kind of tedious.

Many more great games...I haven't got time to go through all of them.

Great suggestion! I have this game also, and I was very shocked at how fun it was. It felt like it could fit right in with the old-school classics from the NES and SNES days.

The Game Boy Advance is way too full of awesome games to list. I would say it's probably the 2nd best video game system ever made (the SNES being #1).

Super Street Fighter Revival

Tekken Advance

Silent Scope

All the Zelda games...

All the Castelvania games...

Street Fighter Alpha 3 is decent

Mario Tennis is actually pretty fun

All the Sonic games are decent too

There are a few good Metroid games

Altered Beast is pretty fun when you get into it more

and of course you have to get Metal Slug Advance , and KOF (Howling Blood I think is the good one)

If anyone can pull off supers with the new GBA SP, I'll give you a dollar!

Also beware of Metal Slug advance....doesn't work on the new SP's or the DS

I dont have problems with supers, but I dont have an SP. They all work on my DS, including Metal Slug

Does it lock up on you [MSA]? I know its moodier on the new SP's. If you press the middle of the d-pad and hit B, it locks up.

Haven't had anything lock up as of yet. I have only played the first few levels of MS-advance so far...but its been fine. Maybe you had a touchy cart? Did you read about MS being an issue somewhere?

Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis is my fave strategy RPG in a long long time, but I don't know how rare it is. It was tough to get when it first came out, then the market got flooded right after I searched high and low... :oh_no:

Plus Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is great... I like Gradius Galaxies, too.

Metroid Fusion and Metroid Zero Mission are not to be missed if you're sane.

That oughta hold ya. ;)
