Getting the regular bosses

Ok, i've been playing this game for a while now but have yet to actually fight Rugal or Akuma (not the super cheesy ones!) So far I've fought S.Akuma twice and G.Rugal 3 times! What do I need to do?

aww, never mind, I finally managed to fight akuma and I beat him with ATHENA of all people. I guess that just goes to show ya the akuma relies of fireballs TOO MUCH! <IMG SRC="smilies/smirk.gif" border="0">

I'm guessing that you mean CvS2, right? <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

I think it's all determined by the number of GPS you have after the "final" match. If you have 1000 or more, you'll be able to fight a boss. I've already fought Rugal and Akuma once each, but I'm not sure if it's the Shin versions or the God versions at all.

If you have an Ultimate KO and you fight a middle boss (Bison or Geese), you'll qualify for fighting G.Rugal or S.Gouki. So, if you want to fight the "normal" versions of Rugal and Gouki, (1) Don't get an Ultimate KO and (2) keep your GP under 1500.
