Anyone know of any decent free sound recorder?

I'm using Hi-Q recorder, it fucking sucks.

Anyone know of one with a decent bit-rate and doesn't fuck up constantly like aforementioned program?

Goldwave is an excellent program. The demo is fully functional, with the only limitation being 150 commands (play, record, pause, filters, etc.) per program run. But oonce you hit the limit you can still save your changes, quit, then restart the program for another 150 commands.

I recommend buying it though, it's awesome.

I use Total Recorder to grab sounds streams, it automatically turns them into mp3s too.

Ah, I didn't know we were talking about ripping streams. Goldwave isn't for that.
