Graphic glitches in Puzzle Bobble

I am getting some graphic glitches in Puzzle Bobble and I dunno what the problem is.
I clean the cart with alcohol and with an eraser and I still get the same thing.

I also tried different slots on my board.

The pics are absurdly big.
These occur on more than just the title screen but are intermittent.

Can you post some pics of the boards as well. That may help Xian out a bit.

The glitches seem to stay in the same area (eg Bust-A-Move logo). This suggests the mask rom for graphics is corrupt.

Agreed. Looks like a bad ROM, not like a dirty cart or bad trace.

If I have an EPROM that can replace it, I can program another one for you to install.

I was hoping it was something else, but I had a feeling it was something that needed to be replaced.

How much would you be charging for a new EPROM?

Depends on the size of the EPROM. Do you know which one you need replaced? I don't have that cart so I can't take one apart to see which ROM holds the title graphics.

You know, I always wondered about some of the glitches Neo Geo carts get. My FF2 and KOF95 carts have minor glitches usually in the BG graphics that tend to be in the same places all the time.

Now what is funny is by reinserting the cart and/or the cart heating up, they can go away. Of course, I cleaned the ever living shit out of them multiple times before.
