These days, there are a TON of MVS cabs around (mostly 1-slot), and they all seem to be running Bust-A-Move. </strong><hr></blockquote>
You know, I brought this up a long time ago, but it was never answered... I had forgotten about it until now. I remember going to Martha's Vineyard a couple of years ago, and at the "country's oldest carousel" they had a 4 slot. There is one game in there that I never found out what it was. It was a sidescrolling airplane shooter where you were one of those old timer planes... but the game was cartoony, not serious. The colors were bright. I think you were shooting hot air balloons or something like that. I suppose it could have just been a 4 slot cab, with a jamma game inside instead... but I'm pretty sure they had MVS games in the other 3 slots.

tru dat if i ever see an old-skool machene its running either bust-a-move or bust-a-move again.
believe it or not i have never ever seen any metal slug games in the arcades.
i know they have a 1 slot running KOF2k1 over at the university for $1 per play. but the guys at the university are mostly keen on importing the latest and greatest $8000 DDR games and such. although they do have a super puzzle fighter 2 turbo for 25 cents a play. <img src="graemlins/drool.gif" border="0" alt="[Drool]" />

BUT since I can't stay in one place... maybe I'll just forget the idea and pass it on to someone who can sit still.</strong><hr></blockquote>
Seeing how I live in the Rio Grande Valley, all I can say is that I would definitely make the drive down there and support the place if it comes into existence.

I did. But they started at 95 and stopped at 2000.

I asked the local manager why we only had '98. He said that he used to have two KOF machines. One for the newest and one for the year before that. The problem was that at '98, after a few weeks with '99, everyone went back to '98. Then the same with '00, until he HAD to put '98 back out.
He bought '01, tried it out, saw that it was like 99 and 00 and sent it back. I don't even think he's gonna bother with '02. He just says that '98 was the last good one.
Now we only have one KOF machine, with '98 in it. That's been there since I got here.

The amusement hall in my city is forced to get its KOF every year if it wants the money to roll right in. It had every KOF since 97.
