BTW, here's a video of the Altered Beast voice fix, sounds real close to the arcade.

Too bad it doesn't have the color hack applied so you can see it in action, but here's some screenshots of the patch:


Altered Beast is in my top 3 arcade games of all time, that's why these patches have me so stoked.

I'd second that nomination. The Genesis had the potential to do better audio and visuals even with some limits it had, but developers including Sega themselves just didn't bother trying to smooth things out like they should have. Probably too worried Nintendo would eat up the market again so they just rapidly kept shoveling out shit to keep them both off balance and in check. Keep those you pulled away with the Genesis in 1989-92~ happy and content with a fast growing library so they don't pay attention as much.
