I need some Wii help.

I have a Japanese Wii...

I want to play US games on it.

I heard about the Wii Freeloader boot disc, however, it is my understanding the firmware viersion 3.0 or higher will make this boot disc useless for newer games.

So, does anyone have an alternate means to play region locked games on their Wii?

I heard there was some kind of trick with Zelda: Twilight Princess that allowed you to play Japanese region games, NeoDragoN or someone can point you in the right direction.
