Thanks, I just did a run through as the second player in ultra to see if the game would crash. Thankfully it didn't so that means its the bug fixed version. I did get the true last boss though which is leaving me confused. Normally you have to not die, not use bombs ect to get a true last boss, however I was dying and credit feeding the entire time.

I'm no sure what just happened but that bitch was hard.

For one thing the label orientation is different !

Yea Im having a hard time finding info on the Japanese version, it doesnt help that they both have the same name.

Looking at the mame dumps they both have the same version number, so I take it is the same exact game for both regions?

if the version numbers are the same shadows, its the same game, ive played through both games, and cant tell a single difference, nice pick up btw

eh, there are different versions of these boards though (60/19 in 1) version A being apparently the better made boards.

I think version A gives you the option to connect a trackball and use of a 3th button for some games that originally used one .

I was very tempted at one point to grab a cocktail cab on the cheap and put one of those 60-in-1's in it, but then I remembered I still needed my Neo money I'm not sure I could go that far back in gaming history quite yet.
