ithough, if actually given the choice, i'd pick air, cause it's necessary for life.
so it's ALWAYS around you.

do you generate the element?
or do you have to have the element around to work with it?

I choose air for this very reason. You can control water as well (tides, cyclones/waterspouts), and even earth if you have the ability to summon tornadoes and hurricanes.

And flying is awesome.
