I have a GameCube that the laser stopped reading discs on me this last week. It is the purple, indigo color. It has the digital av out port on the back. It has its port covers on the bottom like it’s supposed to. It’s a perfect candidate for the GC-Loader ODE. $45 shipped F&F…

The fix may be as simple as a few caps too. I posted about the optical board cap issue that is becoming more common a while back here in case it helps your system. It’s a quick fix and is a lot cheaper than an ODE if you don’t want to go that route yet, as replacing the laser on units that have this problem will not resolve the issue:

I think I have an extra laser if you want it? Pulled it out when I did the SD.

That would be excellent. This was supposed to be my backup console for my 16 player Mario Kart Double Dash setup. I wouldn’t be selling it if it was working properly.
